Disney & Pixar “Soul” arrives in theatres on June 19, 2020.”
Soul is an animated comedy directed by duo Pete Docter and Kemp Powers. The screenplay for it is written by Powers, Doctor, Tina Fey and Mike Jones. Pixar Animation Studios along with Walt Disney Pictures have produced this project.
Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures is going to distribute it all over the world. The voice to the characters in it are provided by major bigwigs like Jamie Foxx, Daveed Diggs, Questlove, Tina Fey and Phylicia Rashad.
Pixar Soul: The Plot
It is an animated comedy flick. The story revolves around the lead character Joe Gardner who is working as a music teacher in a middle school.
Here’s a twist though, he has always dreamt of becoming a Jazz music artist and performing on the stage in front of a crowd of listeners.
Once he gets fortunate enough to showcase his talent to other Jazz artists, however, an accident changes our hero’s life: his soul departs from his physical body.
He is supposed to reach an otherworldly realm The Great Beyond. However, he manages to escape that and goes to the alternate world The Great Before.

In The Great Before, you see all souls in the development phase. Development in the sense they acquire personalities, and other qualities that make us unique. In that realm, he has to live and train with the souls to make sure that he returns to the physical world before he dies.
Pixar Soul Release Date Update
Fans of Pixar are eagerly waiting for the movie to hit the Big Screen, but it’s still unclear if the film will release in theatres. Earlier, the movie was supposed to be released on June 19, 2020.
However, due to COVID – 19 pandemic, the studio decided to shift the opening date ahead by a few months. Now, the film is scheduled for release on October 11, 2020.
It means we have to wait for slightly over four months for the movie to hit the market. Don’t we know where it will be released: Theater or streaming platforms? It wouldn’t be tough for producers to publish it online as Disney has its streaming app, Disney+.
However, it would be a challenge for other subscribers to watch it as not everyone uses Disney+, the audience is split between Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix. That can affect the earnings of the movie.

Pixar Soul Release Date: Trailer
The trailer for the movie went online on November 7, 2019. However, the full-length trailer was published a few months back, on March 12.

Pixar Soul release date is set to be November 20, 2020. We hope that the current pandemic will get over by that time. If it doesn’t, it will either be delayed further or released on streaming platforms. Pixar’s Soul is an ambitious film.
The movie is animated, but we know Pixar has always conveyed crucial social messages and delicate topics playfully to the audience. We expect a lot from this new movie. It would be fun to watch Jamie Foxx and Tina Fey voicing the lead characters in it.
