There are less edgy and violent shorts in volume 2. They give up gratuitous nudity and gore for heartfelt stories. A dark short called “Pop Squad” is one of the longer ones. It uses its 15-minute run time to tell a heartfelt story.
“Drowned Giant” has a very elegant feel to it. It weaves the inevitable death and decay into a folktale-like story in an almost comforting way. A large and powerful giant once loomed over everyone in the small town next door.
By the end of the story, only one person can remember him. People still remember him, but he’s gone. People will one day have to face this fate, but it doesn’t make them sad. If anything, his sadness and resignation are sweet and bittersweet, and the perfect way to end this book.
What’s the Release Date of Love Death and Robots Season 3?
