Goa To Host ISL, The First Big Sporting Spectacle In Times Of Pandemic

ISL will be hosted by Goa in November and it is officially announced. This will be the first tournament after COVID-19. It is kind of an experimental tournament because the biggest game in India which is the IPL is held in UAE. Goa and Kerala were finalised for hosting ISL, but because of the Grounds and hospitality of Goa, it was selected as the host.

Tournament will start from November of this year till March of 2021. Goa’s fans will be excited for this, but it is the first time in India where games will be played with empty stadiums.

Because of Covid-19, many restrictions will be imposed and guidelines will be given for players and management. Still it is a relief that the tournament is starting in India.

Overview for ISL

ISL will be starting in Indian by November 2020. Many sports tournaments have started internationally and they have selected Bio Bubble as the safe option. Bio Bubble has its own rules and regulations to follow.

Players have to Follow proper Guidelines issued by the health minister and state government. Before starting the tournament players as well as management teams will be tested for Covid-19. As players will be quarantined for some period of time.

Goa has enough grounds and hotels to host ISL. Players will stay on the same floor and no one will be allowed to sneak out or talk in person with anyone. ISL will issue the health app for players for daily health survey. According to the officials, players and management team will undergo temperature checking daily.

Hotels will be approved by the organisers and food services will be provided only by hotels. Gym and other facilities will be allowed for players.

Some of the groups including families will be tested 2 to 3 times a week. The game will be held without any audience and media will also be limited. As of now the game is under proper guidance and rule.

The matches will be in three venues. They have 16 venues for training and 10 venues have been finalized. The stay for players will be held for 5 months and the stadium will be completely sanitized.

To avoid the spread of the Covid-19, organisers are taking proper care of players and management clubs.
