Destiny Hope Cyrus was born in Franklin, Tennessee, on November 23, 1992. Her parents are country singers Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Finley. Cyrus was born with supraventricular tachycardia, a condition that makes the heart beat faster than normal when it is at rest.
Her parents gave her the name Destiny Hope because they thought she would do great things in the future. Because she always smiled as a baby, they called her “Smiley.”
