If you are looking for a Korean fantasy, romance TV show, you can’t miss watching Arthdal Chronicles. For the past many years, the Korean entertainment industry has been making its presence felt by producing top-quality cinema, and dramas.

Let’s not even talk about notorious K-pop if you have watched the award-winning 2019 film, Parasite. In this article, we will talk about Arthdal Chronicles Season 2.

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2: Premise

Those who have watched the previous season of Arthdal Chronicles say that the show is akin to the classic fantasy show Game of Thrones. That’s up to you to decide, though.

The show’s set in the fictional world of fantasy. Arth is a mythical land. There resides an ancient city called Arthdal. The show features a tale of ancient civilization, where our characters are always in the power struggle of earning the throne.

There is war, and there is a power struggle, there is romance and much more in Arthdal Chronicles. Since we abide by the rule that thou shall never give spoilers to the readers, we are not going to reveal much about the plot.

There’s one thing though if you have an interest in period dramas, fantasy or Korean entertainment this drama will not disappoint you.

Studio Dragon has created the series. Kim Young-Hyun and Park Sang-Yeon have written the story of the show. Kim Won-Seok has directed this epic tale. Initially, the show’s in Korean, but we think that subtitles and dub versions will remove the language barrier to non-native audiences.

Arthdal Chronicles Release Date of Season 2

The TV show’s season one is divided into three parts. The first part is called The Children of Prophecy, and the second one is The Sky Turning Inside Out, Rising Land, the third part is The Prelude To All Legends.

Part one contains six episodes. The first episode premiered on June 1, 2019. The second part has six episodes; the third part follows the same pattern. The entire season has 18 episodes.

Since the final episode was released in September 2019, the production of the Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 was not even started. And since the past few months, the world is facing the COVID – 19 crisis.

The crisis has stopped the majority of movie and TV show productions. We are sure that the work of the new part will not start any time soon. However, if we get hands on the details of the release date of the second season, our readers will be informed immediately.

The Cast

The cast members of the show are highly talented. Following are the lead cast members of the show:

Jang Dong-gun plays Ta-gon

Song Joong-ki plays Eun-seon

Kim Ji-won plays Tan-ya

Kim Ok-vin plays Tae Al-ha

Although there’s not been an official announcement on the cast of the new part, we assume that there will be some new faces in the upcoming episodes.

Arthdal Chronicles: Trailer & Plot

We know that you are excited to know if the studio has launched any trailer. Still, unfortunately, there’s no trailer launched for season two. Had the shooting begun in this year, they could’ve released the trailer, but since the pandemic has stopped all the work, there’s no scope for a trailer.

We expect the trailer to be published somewhere around 2021. It’s okay if they manage to do it before that.

Now coming toward the plot, we expect that the show will pick up the story right from the final episode of season one. The plot will start from where it was left. There’s no official hint at the story at this moment though.

Final Words

Although Korean dramas are popular amongst teenagers across the globe, the adults should look into their cinematic industry. We genuinely believe that Korea needs more recognition across the world. We hope that with Arthdal Chronicles-like shows they will get to accomplish it.

Since the pandemic isn’t over yet, we expect the show-makers to film it in late-2020. This means the show isn’t coming back before 2021. We will inform our readers if Netflix announces the release date.
