Singer Billie Eilish Says She Has Deleted All Social Media Apps: “Huge Deal For Me”!

Billie Eilish, an American singer, said that she deleted all of her social media apps from her phone because of how hard it was for her to deal with the internet. The Grammy-winning singer and her brother Finneas went on the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast. The singer has been less active on social media in recent weeks, and in a video posted on YouTube by Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco, she talked about why she decided to cut ties with social media.

“I no longer look at it. All of it is gone from my phone, which is a big deal for me. Because, dude, you didn’t grow up with the internet “she said in a clip from the episode, which hasn’t aired yet.

She went on to say, “For me, it was such a big part of my life. It wasn’t a big part of my childhood (thank God, I wasn’t an iPad baby), but I really feel like I grew up in the best time for the internet. It wasn’t so internet-y, and I was always doing things. It was a little bit like computers and games on computers.”

She said that she was an “Internet kid” that she called herself. Ms Eilish continued, “When I was a pre-teen, there were iPhones, and when I was a little older, there was all of what has become, but when I was a pre-teen and a teenager on the internet, those were my people, and I was one of them.”

As Ms. Eilish’s fame grew, she found that she didn’t like herself when she saw herself online. “I am someone who uses the internet… And slowly, it seems like the videos I watch and the things I see on the internet are about me. I’m, like, ‘Eww, stinky.’ I don’t like that “she told me.

“That’s another thing that scares me about the internet: it makes you too trusting. I believe everything I read on the internet. Me. I know for sure that’s stupid, and I shouldn’t do it because I have proof that it’s not all true; almost none of it is true “She went on to say more.

It’s important to note that Ms. Eilish has talked a lot about body positivity, the unfair expectations that society puts on young women, and her online media presence. She posted a strong video about fat shaming in 2020 in which she criticised the way online haters looked at the clothes she wore.
