Alice in Borderland season 3 is just a few months away! Although September 25 had been rumored as the release date for some time, Netflix has now officially confirmed that all episodes will be available on that Thursday. This announcement comes along with a new teaser trailer, a fresh poster, several still images, and new details about the upcoming season.
Alongside the new teaser, a synopsis teasing what to expect from the new season was also released, stating:
“Now, the “games” that captivated the world begin once again.
In the previous season, Arisu and Usagi completed all the games and returned to the real world. They have since married and built a happy life together. Their memories of the borderland were erased, but they occasionally glimpse it in dreams and hallucinations. One day, Usagi, guided by afterlife researcher Ryuji, suddenly disappears. At the same time as Usagi’s disappearance, Banda gives Arisu the final card: the Joker.
The uncharted journey led by the mysterious Joker card is about to begin…”
The release of this new teaser trailer follows Netflix’s major reveal for the show in February 2025, as part of its Next on Netflix Japan series, which teased more themes, shared early first-look stills, and provided additional information on what to expect. The show also went viral again in the spring with rumors that Yeji of ITZY would join the cast, but it was clarified that this is not true.
Season 3 stars Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Hayato Isomura, and Kento Kaku, with Shinsuke Sato returning as director. The series is written by Yasuko Kuramitsu and Shinsuke Sato, produced by Akira Morii and Tomoki Takase, with Kaata Sakamoto as executive producer. Developed and produced by ROBOT, the series is based on the work by Haro Aso and Shogakukan. Netflix Japan also confirmed the full cast for the upcoming season, including new members joining in season 3:

A poster has also been unveiled which, according to Netflix, “depicts Usagi and Arisu desperately reaching out to each other, conveying the haunting atmosphere of the Borderland. The artwork captures the essence of a world that exists as a boundary between life and death, evoking a sense of dread for the possible fate that may await them.”
