About Free Bert
Free Bert is an upcoming Netflix Original sitcom series created by showrunners Bert Kreischer, Andrew Mogel, and Jarrad Paul, who also serve as the series’ writers and three of its eight executive producers. The other executive producers include Lilly Burns, Elise Henderson, Tony Hernandez, LeeAnn Kreischer, and Judi Marmel. The series is being produced by Counterpart Studios.

“Stunt comedian and wild personality Bert Kreischer is fired from his ‘Jackass’-style TV show after accidentally insulting his executives on a hot mic. Discovering that his wife, LeeAnn (played by Myrin), and their two daughters, Ila and Georgia (played by Ryan), are unhappy with his presence at home due to what they call ‘The Bert Chaos’ that follows him everywhere, Bert makes a brief attempt to fit into the prestigious private school his daughters attend. However, after standing up for his daughter Georgia when she is cyberbullied, he finds himself opposing the school’s most powerful family. Unwilling to conform but determined to protect his child, Bert realizes that being his own hilarious and brutally honest self is the best approach, which may also help revive his career.”
Who are the cast members of Free Bert?
Bert Kreischer stars as himself in the series. Known for his energetic, eccentric style and performing stand-up comedy often shirtless, Kreischer has appeared on various talk shows and podcasts. His acting credits are limited, with his 2023 comedy film The Machine, inspired by one of his viral stand-up routines, being one of the few roles.
Arden Myrin portrays Bert’s wife, LeeAnn. She is recognized for her roles in the Netflix series Insatiable as well as appearances in shows like Shameless, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Orange Is the New Black, and The Righteous Gemstones.

Ava Ryan and Lilou Lang take on the roles of Bert’s daughters, Georgia and Ila. Ryan is relatively new to acting, with her only previous credit being on the series Yo Gabba Gabba. Lilou Lang is making her acting debut with Free Bert.
Mandell Maughan features in the series as well. Her past television work includes Resident Alien, Me, Myself and I, Black-Ish, and Grace and Frankie.

What is the production status of Free Bert?
According to Production Weekly issue 1459, filming for Free Bert is planned to commence on July 9, 2025, and will continue for several weeks, wrapping up on August 11, 2025.
When can we expect Free Bert on Netflix?
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Free Bert. However, sitcoms typically have shorter post-production timelines compared to drama series, so it is anticipated that the show will premiere on Netflix in the first half of 2026.
