The Plot of Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku season 2. What to Expect from It?
As the name shows, Wotakoi is a love story of two otakus. For those who don’t know, otaku is a Japanese term used for the people, who consume themself in an activity, and became socially extinct.
The show spins around the relationship between Hirotaka Nifuji and Narumi Momose. Narumi, earlier a tomboy, became a beautiful and enthusiastic young woman. She was fujoshi, a person obsessed with manga and anime, particularly in the male-male romance genre. Being an otaku, her social life became zero. Due to the difference of interest, her boyfriend broke up with her. To get over the relationship, she joined another company where she encountered her schoolmate Hirotaka. Hirotaka was also an employee in the same company. Hirotaka, who is also okay, was obsessed with videogames.
Narumi tried to hide her fujoshi lifestyle from Hirotaka. She was unaware that he is aware of the fact. Later during a drink, Hirotaka suggested Narumi date him as he is just like her. They embarked upon a new journey.
Gradually, Hirotaka and Narumi started to understand each other and become more close. She started helping him with video games, and he started helping in her interest. We met one more couple, Hanako and Kamakura, in the show. They were keeping helping our protagonist couple in their relationship.
Toward the end of the series, we saw Naoya, brother of Hirotaka, started liking Sakuragi.
Well, season 3 will show the future of relation between Narumi and Hirotaka. We may also likely see where will the relationship between Naoya and Sakuragin will go.
