Why is David Carter Mystery Unsolved?
Netflix has a large selection of content. The streamer launched the first three episodes of the third edition of Unsolved Mysteries on October 18, with two of the cold cases featuring inexplicable deaths. In 2020, Netflix relaunched the iconic docuseries, and each volume thus far has been filled with strange storylines. These three new episodes are similar to prior ones.
From the unexplained death of 18-year-old Tiffany Valiante and possible UFO sightings to the unsolved murder of 39-year-old David Carter, volume 3 of Unsolved Mysteries will leave you shocked and frustrated by the number of unanswered questions.
Concerning the third episode, “Body in Bags,” David Carter’s family is certain that they know who murdered him, but she has been on the run for years.
Who is David Carter?
David Carter Sr., a 39-year-old father from Melvindale, Michigan, was discovered dismembered on October 1, 2018. Carter, who worked at the Magna Seating Plant and helped with the Melvindale Junior Football League, was reported missing during the first week of October 2018 after missing three consecutive days of work.
Carter had attended DJ’s football game on September 28 with his entire family and DJ’s mother, Samia Conner. Tamera ‘Tammy’ Williams, a medical center worker, and the travel agent were also present; but, according to Conner, David and Tammy were not together at the game.
What Happened to David Carter?
The episode covers the 2018 murder and dismemberment of Michigan-based father, brother, and friend David Carter, whose family he was particularly close to. According to his loved ones, he was an ambitious, hard-working, and all-around wonderful individual. He had a tight relationship with his adolescent son, as well as with the mother of his child, his parents, and his sister.
David’s family sensed something was awry when he stopped showing up for work. They began a search to determine where he was after failing to find him in his flat. The unique aspect of the situation was that David’s girlfriend, Tamera “Tammy” Williams, did not assist the family.
She stated she hadn’t seen David in several days and was unaware of his location. As someone who essentially spent every day with David, his family became extremely suspicious. In addition, she was the last individual to see him alive.
And when the body parts of David were discovered in sacks on the side of the road, all eyes turned to Tammy. According to the authorities, David was shot in the head and then dismembered before being discarded. Tammy was interrogated by the police, but there was insufficient evidence to hold her, so she was released. After that, she fled the city.
David Carter Case Update: Was Tammy Williams Arrested?
Tammy is still on the run and has not been located as of the time of this writing. In 2018, she was last seen in New York. In 2021, the prize for any information regarding her whereabouts was boosted to $10,000 as the family continued to search for answers. Tammy’s mother, retired Detroit Fire union treasurer Verdine Day, was suspected of stealing $200,000 from her union in the same year.
Tasia Carter-Jackson, sister of David, gave the following message to Tammy in a statement to Fox News: “You know what you’ve done. We desire your presence and your service. We seek retribution for David. It’s not right that you get to continue living while he was taken from us.”
Tammy was known to frequently alter her haircut and appearance, making it more difficult to locate her. In addition, investigators assert that she has ties to the Order of the Eastern Star, a group with ties to freemasons.
As more people watch Unsolved Mysteries volume 3, we’ll be on the lookout for additional developments in the David Carter case. All three new episodes are currently available on Netflix, with the second batch coming on Tuesday, October 25.
