Who is Jesse Rutherford?

As the lead singer of the American rock band The Neighborhood, Rutherford is best known. On August 21, 1991, Rutherford was born in Newbury Park, California. He has worked in the entertainment business ever since he was a little child.

When he was younger, he used to appear in talent competitions as an Elvis Presley and N'Sync impersonator. Because of his love for acting, Rutherford went on to play roles in movies and television shows, including Life or Something Like It in 2002 and Bundy in 2002.

He also appeared in television advertisements for Hallmark and other brands. Rutherford also had a minor television part in the Marauders episode of Star Trek: Enterprise in 2002. He played lead vocals in several neighborhood bands during his adolescence.

2011-2013

In 2011, Jesse issued a mixtape by himself named Truth Hurts, Truth Heals. When The Neighborhood's breakthrough track, Female Robbery, and subsequent single, Sweater Weather, were released the following year, his career with the alternative band officially began. Later, in June 2013, Sweater Weather topped the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

2016

Jesse started putting out solo music in February on a Soundcloud account called “The Factoury.” Early in 2016, Jesse published his debut novel, titled. The book is filled with images of himself that Jessie English, a photographer, took. Jesse claimed that he just pulled clothes out of his wardrobe for the photo session and kept taking pictures until he ran out of outfits.

2017-Present

Rutherford hinted to a solo debut with the release of the Born to Be Blonde track on October 26th, 2017. He released another song, Drama, on November 3rd and announced the title, cover art, and release date of the album.

He posted the remaining album tracks on YouTube on November 9. Jesse shared clips of brand-new music on his Instagram feed in August 2018. He tweeted on October 19th, 2018, revealing a future collaboration, claiming he has been in the studio with Lana Del Rey. Jesse said on December 17th, 2018, that he would go on his first solo tour in 2019.

After being seen holding hands in a viral video on October 14, 2022 in Los Angeles, Billie Eilish fueled relationship rumors with The Neighborhood‘s lead singer Jesse Rutherford.

As they were leaving an activity at Halloween Horror Nights, the Grammy and Oscar winner made out with the singer. Along with their buddies, the couple was hanging out with Finneas, Billie's famous brother.

Despite neither Billie nor Jesse admitting to dating, people speculated that something was going on between the musicians after seeing them together in August.
