No one can deny the fact that a good television show is more than just a good means for entertainment. A good TV show takes you on a journey in a new world where you are surrounded by your favorite characters. There comes a point that you become so engrossed that you start living with the characters.

In this era the concept of TV shows is changing; cable TV services such as Optimum TV are more accessible and the advent of streaming services has changed the entertainment dynamics. There is a lot more content to watch than ever. However, there are some shows that will always be close to our hearts.

What if someone told you that your favorite TV shows are about to make a comeback and all your favorite characters have grown old just like you. Interestingly, 2021 would be bringing a lot of familiar and some new faces in some of our nostalgic environments.

Saved by the Bell

We witnessed one of the most iconic performances of Chuck Norris in the TV series from the ‘90s called “Walker, Texas Ranger”. You are in for a treat as a reboot for the show may hit your screens where Hollywood superstar Jared Padalecki will be taking on the role of Cordell Walker.

In this series called Walker, Padalecki will be creating a whole new vision for the show and how it unfolds. The remake was all set to premiere in January 2020, but due to unforeseen complications, we will have to wait for it until January 2021. Several other prominent actors of the industry would be seen in the TV show as well, such as Lindsey Morgan, Derrick D. Edmond, and Keegan Allen.

Punky Brewster

Our sweet little Penelope ‘Punky’ Brewster from the 80’s classic “Punky Brewster” is all grown up now, with kids of her own. She can be seen struggling with simple complications of life in this 2021 reboot.

Gladly, Soleil Moon Frye will be reprising her role as Punky as she embarks upon her own journey and comes across a Punky of her own. This new encounter will bring back all the memories that our Punky has, compelling her to interact with the new child. The show is expected to air sometime in 2021 with notable actors joining in, such as Lauren Lindsey Donzis, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Johnathan McClain.

Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica was one of the most advanced and iconic shows of its time. The show displayed previously unimaginable space travels and interstellar combat in all their glories. A TV show of the same name may be debuting in the coming year with a storyline that may pique fans’ interests.

Further details are quite ambiguous at the moment such as lead characters and supporting cast. But one thing is for sure, it is bound to be a mind-boggling and head-scratching journey across space.

After eight years of the original show, Gossip Girl and team are making comeback to amaze the audience with their performances. It was scheduled for 2020 but due to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been delayed till 2021.

For those who are oblivious to the original show, Kristen Bell played the role of Gossip Girl as she lived her life as a merciless blogger who is there to expose every little secret you might have in the city of New York. Now, eight years have passed and Gossip Girls is back to take on a new generation of teens and brats.

Bel-Air

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” was the show that catapulted Will Smith to his legendary fame and fortune. Then, Smith played a fictional version of himself as he moved to the town of Bel-Air to live with his rich and classy aunt, uncle, and their three wonderful kids.

A re-imagination of the show is in the works and Smith has taken on the role of the show’s executive producer. The show is bound to bring back many fond memories for the millennials.
