Check What is Likely to Happen in Upcoming Renfield Movie?
The new film Renfield, which follows the story of Count Dracula’s loyal servant, will premiere in theatres in the spring of 2023. Renfield first appeared in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula, where he was Dracula’s trusted assistant in his quest to transform others into vampires.
Over a century has passed since the character’s first film appearance; examples range from 1922’s Nosferatu and 1931’s Dracula through Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 Dracula and the Penny Dreadful series. In this chapter, Renfield will be taking on the modern world in a new, more up-to-date form.
Chris McKay, director of The Tomorrow War, is taking the helm, with a script by Ryan Ridley. The source material for Ridley’s script was written by Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead comic book series. The film will be produced by Skybound Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures.

Renfield Release Date
Universal made the announcement on the release date of Renfield before the end of February 2022. On April 14, 2023, the long-awaited film adaptation of Dracula will finally be released in theatres.
The film will reportedly start production in the beginning of 2022 in the city of New Orleans, which is located in the state of Louisiana. When taking into account the length of time Renfield will need for filming and post-production, the release date of April 2023 makes perfect sense.

What is Likely to Happen in Ranfield Movie?
The plot of the film Renfield centres on the “toxic and co-dependent relationship” between Dracula and his henchman. Renfield was originally mentioned in Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1897), an epistolary book. The protagonist is introduced to the audience as a psychotic inmate in an asylum due to his obsession with the idea that he can become immortal by consuming blood.
Renfield, a main character in the tale, becomes Dracula’s servant because he admires the villain. Dracula, on the other hand, is continually using manipulation and teasing at Renfield by holding up the possibility of eternal life.

From what little we do know about Renfield’s plot, it seems like we’ll be getting an adventure comedy and, strangely enough, a breakup film. To defeat Renfield’s idol, he’ll need to join forces with another character. There’s no telling what will make Renfield betray his master, but given that this is ostensibly a modern-day endeavour, it’s reasonable to assume that they just became tired of one another after so many centuries of working together.
Notably, Renfield will be joining The Invisible Man in Universal Pictures’ expanding monster movie world in 2020, so you may assume a similarly epic feature.
Although specifics are scant, we do have a synopsis:
“The film centers on Renfield, who has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s lackey. The henchman finds a new lease on life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy.”
Changing Role of Dracula in Various Movies
Bela Lugosi, in the 1930s and 1940s, and Christopher Lee, in the 1960s and 1970s, are the two most well-known actors to play Dracula, who has appeared in over 200 films. After being a repulsive, savage monster in Nosferatu, Dracula has transformed into a sophisticated, alluring, and oddly repentant aristocrat in the latest BBC Series.

Cage, in fact, has experienced renewed interest and critical acclaim in recent years. An increasing respect for his exaggerated, even comical manner of acting has contributed to this, rather than any modifications he may have made. Cage still portrays a version of his unique personality in every film in which he appears.
In addition, Cage’s openness about (and occasional mockery of) his “nouveau shamanic” approach to acting has earned him fresh admiration. Additionally, this isn’t the first time Cage has portrayed a vampire. Cage’s renowned on-screen cockroach consumption helped turn the box office bomb Vampire’s Kiss into a cult classic in 1989. (he actually ate another bug for a second take; the director wanted to be sure he got the shot right).
The actor reportedly drew inspiration from his father August Coppola, David Bowie, Anne Bancroft in The Graduate, and silent film legends for his portrayal of the Count. Fans of Cage’s eccentric and offbeat performances will certainly not be let down by the lack of information on whether or not a character eats a live bug on screen.
