What Are Hunters in “The Last of Us” Series? Where Do They Come From?
When the cordyceps infection began to spread around the world, society fell apart very quickly. People had to hide in huge cities with walls to stay safe from the gambling hordes outside.
The infected aren’t the only things that could hurt you in the wasteland. In The Last of Us episode 4, Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) found out that there are still a lot of people who will attack other survivors if they have to. Here’s what you need to know about the hunters in The Last of Us.
What are Hunters?
Hunters are people who eat other survivors so that they can stay alive. Hunters are known for killing their victims, which they call “tourists,” and taking their gear.
Where Do Hunters Come From?
There are many places where hunters can come from. Some, like Joel and Tommy, when they were hunters, are just wanderers who do what they have to do to stay alive as they go from place to place. Other groups, on the other hand, come from more honourable backgrounds.
In the TV show, Kathleen’s group of hunters are really the people who lived in the Kansas City Quarantine Zone and rose up against FEDRA’s harsh rule. In the game, Joel makes it clear that most QZs have had the same bad luck.
Without official supply lines, these settlements have to turn to piracy and “hunting” to feed their people.
