In 2020, Rob McElhenney (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) partnered up to purchase Wrexham AFC, intending to bring success to the underdog squad, and in the process of filming Welcome to Wrexham, gaining the support of the entire world.
Rob and Ryan, meanwhile, have no football (soccer) or collaboration experience. But both are serious about their involvement in Wrexham AFC, sincerely desiring to enhance the club, do right by the area, and engage local fans.
