Hocus Pocus’ Binx the Cat’s Voice Actor is Stunning in Real Life

By Linda Mercer

With a lethal combination of magic and revenge, the Sanderson Sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) travel from the 17th century to contemporary Salem in “Hocus Pocus.”

The evil trio was assumed to have vanished by the time the original movie's credits rolled, but they are set to reappear in its follow-up, “Hocus Pocus 2.”

Although the adorable cat in the follow-up has Binx's appearance, it is actually another cat by the name of Cobweb. And no, it won't sound like its predecessor when it speaks.

Binx is voiced by actor Jason Marsden in “Hocus Pocus.” And because of his lengthy acting background, which features a balanced mix of on-screen and voiceover parts, Marsden not only has a well-known voice but also a very recognizable face.

The actor began his spectacular voice-acting career with Disney in 1988, lending his voice to Peter Pan in “Peter Pan and the Pirates” and Cavin in “Adventures of the Gummi Bears.”
