What Will Happen in Vikings Valhalla Season 3?
Expect season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla to pick up plot threads from the second chapter that weren’t resolved and move them forward, with an eye toward leaving things half-wrapped up in case the show doesn’t get renewed for a fourth season.
During a recent Q&A, Jeb Stuart, who is in charge of the show, said that he would love to make a second trilogy that would take Vikings: Valhalla to season 6, but he is ready for things to go differently.
“I hope we have the chance to finish that journey, but I think that parts one, two, and three are all good on their own,” he said.
“I’m glad. I’m a happy guy. I get to tell a really cool story with lots of great action and characters, and I get to work with a cast and crew that I love. What’s the point of being upset?”
Stuart also said in a recent Q&A that Netflix’s extra-large episode order has helped him plan the big story arcs that span the seasons.
“I knew from the start what season 3 would be about,” he said. “I knew what season 3 would be about because of the change in culture. I knew that we would have to go to the New World at some point.
“So, what does it have? How do we fill Leif’s toolbox, and what does Freydis bring to get these last people who still believe in the old religion? At that time, we know what was going on in Europe. “It makes us happy. So, no, I’m not doing this one season at a time.”

This plan for the show has also helped the actors. Vikings: Valhalla star Leo Suter said he has known for a long time what will happen to his character in the long run.
He said: “As actors, it’s been very helpful to see a big picture of what this show is going to look like and where these characters are going. It means that sometimes you don’t have to hurry to get there because there’s a lot of time.”
