What is the Storyline of Uncoupled Series?
Michael Lawson (Harris) real estate business is thriving, his 17-year relationship with Colin (Tuc Watkins) is strong, and he has a surprise birthday party for Colin all set up. The moment the party begins, Colin pulls the rug out from under him by telling him that he is leaving.
Colin avoids him and doesn’t offer a sufficient explanation for why he abandoned Michael. When Colin texts him that they can’t work together anymore, the good vibes from their reunion are thrown into disarray.
From that point on, Michael tentatively enters the dating scene with the help of his best pals Stanley, Billy, and Susanne. As a result, he gains insight into himself and the outside world that had previously been off-limits for nearly two decades. He dates a few other women to help him get over Colin, but there’s something far more important he has to drop.
Colin’s second thoughts about ending things with Michael left the season one finale on a cliffhanger. It was at Michael’s apartment that Colin asked him to give their 17-year romance another try after they had a touching reunion at the wedding of their mutual friends, the Jonathans.
In the meantime, Billy was confronted with the reality of his promiscuous lifestyle by a guy he had recently begun to like. His old ways caught up with him at the wedding, and after Wyatt admonished him for flirting with a waiter, he began to question whether or not casual sex was satisfying.
In spite of this, they will need to face their worst fear head-on when Stanley is diagnosed with stage one breast cancer and must undergo treatment.
