The official Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer has been released, revealing the franchise’s new Beast Wars characters for the first time. After Bumblebee, the seventh episode in the Transformers film series will take the plot on a new path.
Steven Caple Jr. has assumed responsibility for the franchise in place of Michael Bay. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts introduces the Maximals, Terrorcons, and Predacons, in addition to familiar Autobot heroes like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, who appear in the new film.
Release date of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
The original release date for “Rise of the Beasts” was slated for June 24, 2022. However, the seventh instalment of the series was delayed by around one year. Now, the film from Paramount will be released on June 9, 2023. This month will be packed with blockbusters and major motion pictures.
The competition for “Rise of the Beasts” in 2023 will include films such as “Elemental,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” and “The Flash.” It will be fascinating to watch if “Rise of the Beasts” can triumph over its theatrical competitors and take the crown for June 2023.
The Plotline for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
In essence, “Rise of the Beasts” is a sequel to the 2018 film “Bumblebee.” While the last film was set in the 1980s, “Rise of the Beasts” will take place in 1994 in locations such as Brooklyn and Peru. Noah, a soldier who loves his family and seeks penance for past transgressions, will be the protagonist of the upcoming instalment. Elena, a museum researcher whose understanding of artefacts will undoubtedly play a significant role in the plot, is the female co-lead.
On the robot side, the film will see Autobots and Decepticons fighting once more. This time, though, they will be joined by the reptilian Predacons, the evil Terrorcons, and the heroic Maximals, commanded by the gorilla-shaped Optimus Primal. Scourge, a ruthless Decepticon who, according to Collider, has a macabre propensity for stealing the insignias of slain Autobots, will serve as the primary antagonist in this film. Against Optimus Primal, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and the rest of our shape-shifting heroes, he will have his hands full.
Who Will be Cast in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts?
Peter Cullen will reprise his role as the voice of Optimus Prime. In any case, “Transformers” would not be “Transformers” if someone else portrayed the heroic Autobot. Anthony Ramos of “Hamilton” and “In the Heights” will play Noah, while Dominique Fishback of “Judas and the Black Messiah” will portray Elena. In addition, Luna Lauren Vélez of Dexter and Ugly Betty will play Noah’s mother.
As for the voice performers other than Peter Cullen, prepare to be blown away, because the cast is absolutely amazing. Peter Dinklage, the ruler of Casterly Rock, will provide the voice of the wicked Scourge. Ron Perlman will reprise his role as the silverback Optimus Primal from the animated “Transformers: Power of the Prime” series. Pete Davidson will assume Francesco Quinn’s role as Autobot Mirage, and Michelle Yeoh will provide the voice for Airazor, a Maximal falcon.
