Top 10 Cast Member of Andor Episode 1
Andor, the newest Star Wars Disney+ series, has a diverse group of characters, both old and new to Star Wars fans. Andor is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that follows the life of Cassian Andor before he meets Jyn Erso and steals the Death Star designs. Set five years before the events of Rogue One, it depicts the gradual formation of the Rebel Alliance in its fight against the Galactic Empire.
Andor is ambitious, being both the longest (24 episodes) and the darkest (in tone and action) of the Disney+ Star Wars series. There have been no problems up to this point. Critics have been generally kind to Andor, applauding its more mature tone and break from the standard Star Wars formula.
1. Diego Luna as Cassian Andor
In the movie Andor, Diego Luna (Wiki) plays the main character, Cassian Andor, who was first seen in Rogue One. Cassian lives on the rough planet Fennix, where he is known as a scoundrel, a drunk, and a person who doesn’t always make the best choices. Cassian Andor of Luna gets on the Empire’s radar when he is involved in a crime one night. But soon, someone will give him an opportunity to do more with his life. Luna is best known to TV viewers as Miguel in Narcos: Mexico and as the voice of Krel in the Tales of Arcadia series. In addition to Rogue One, he is known for movies like Elysium, Milk, The Terminal, The Book of Life, and If Beale Street Could Talk.
2. Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen
Adria Arjona plays Bix Caleen, who works as a mechanic by day and sells drugs on the black market at night. She also seems to be one of Cassian’s oldest friends on Ferrix. At some point in the past, they may have been more than just friends. Even though we don’t know much else about Bix, it’s clear that she doesn’t like people in charge, especially Preox-Morlana goons.
The Puerto Rican actor’s most recent role was as Marvel character Martine Bancroft in this year’s Morbius, a vampire movie with ties to Spider-Man. She also played the bride in the 2022 remake of Father of the Bride by Warner Bros. Before that, Arjona played the main character in the Wizard of Oz TV show Emerald City on NBC. He also played Anathema on Good Omens and Jules Reyes in the movie Pacific Rim: Uprising.
“Her ambition and her desire for stability in this very unstable world and time in history were the things that really got me excited,” Arjona tells Den of Geek. “Bix puts everyone and everything before herself, including her friends, family, and Ferrix. And her sense of right and wrong is always called into question. People in the show are on the verge of starting a revolution, and there’s a big question mark about what to do. Do you agree with the cause? Do you belong to the movement? “Where do you come in?”
3. Stellan Skarsgard as Luthen Rael
Stellan Skarsgard, a veteran character actor, plays the cunning Luthen Rael in Andor. On the surface, Luthen appears to be a collector and a black market dealer. His true goal, though, is to sow the seeds of insurrection quietly. His encounter with Cassian Andor will alter both of their lives. Fans of geek culture may recognize Skarsgard from his recurring role as Dr. Erik Selvig in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s also well-known for his roles in Dune, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Angels & Demons, Mamma Mia!, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Good Will Hunting, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, and several more films.
4. Kyle Soller as Syril Karn
Andor’s main enemy is Syril Karn, played by Kyle Soller. As a young and ambitious Imperial officer, he is self-conscious and devoted to his duties. He becomes obsessed with Cassian Andor, desperate to catch him for his crime, but it’s unclear if he’s up to the task. Soller is most recognized for his roles in You, Me, and the Apocalypse and as Francis Poldark on Poldark. Fury, The Fifth Estate, and the 2012 remake of Anna Karenina are among his films.
5. Fiona Shaw as Maarva
In Andor, the famous Fiona Shaw plays Maarva, a role in which she unexpectedly reveals remarkable depths. Maarva is an experienced pirate who took Cassian in when he was a child and taught him everything she knew. She likes Cassian very much but does not approve of his more questionable behaviour. When her son is lured into the conflict, Maarva, a previous commander of the Star Wars proto-Rebellion, will join the current revolt.
One of the most popular British actresses is Shaw. She is famous for her roles as Marnie Stonebrook on True Blood and Carolyn Martens in Killing Eve, but she is most recognized for her long run as Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter series. You may also recognize her from roles in shows like Channel Zero, Enola Holmes, and The Tree of Life. She will next be seen in the role of Maeve Livingstone in the film version of Neil Gaiman’s Anansi Boys, following her role as Andor.
6. Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera
Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera, like Mon Mothma, is well-known to Star Wars fans, having originally appeared in Rogue One and then voiced his character in Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. He returns to Andor to assist Luthen Rael and Mon Mothma in constructing the Rebellion.
Whitaker is a Hollywood veteran, having earned an Oscar for his role as Idi Amin in 2006’s The Last King of Scotland. His other credits include The Color of Money, Good Morning, Vietnam, Platoon, The Crying Game, Repo Men, The Butler, Arrival, and Zuri in Black Panther. 9. James McArdle as Timm Karlo

If McArdle seems familiar to Star Wars fans, it’s because he’s been before in a galaxy far, far away. In The Force Awakens, he played Resistance pilot Niv Lek (“Kelvin” reversed because of J.J. Abrams). McArdle also participated in the HBO miniseries Mare of Easttown, which is wonderful and should be seen immediately after you finish the first three episodes of Andor.
10. Joplin Sibtain as Brasso
Brasso is one of Cassian’s friends on Ferrix. He is also one of the many people who cover for the young criminals all the time. (Cassian is really a hot mess.) Joplin Sibtain, who is in EastEnders, Doctor Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures, and the Netflix show Safe, plays the character.
