After its premiere at the 2018 Fantastic Fest in September, Netflix released the film in October of the same year. Critics complimented the film’s stylishly violent narrative, calling it absurd and cartoonish, but ultimately successful and thrilling. With a Metacritic score of 69, the picture received “Generally Positive Reviews.”
The Old Guard
The Old Guard solidifies Charlize Theron’s status as one of the most renowned action stars of our day. Based on the comic book of the same name, the film follows a group of immortal mercenaries on a quest for vengeance. The ensemble cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor and Matthias Schoenaerts.
