Tom Schwartz Admits He Ignored Raquel Leviss Before Divorcing Katie Maloney: ‘She’s Cool as S–t’

A surprising split. Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney announced their separation in March 2022, over three years after their televised marriage. Fans were disappointed to find that the first and longest-lasting Vanderpump Rules duo had ended their relationship, but why?
Tom Schwartz gushed about his co-star on Vanderpump Rules, Raquel Leviss, weeks before they met at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies' wedding. During a recent episode of Shay's “Scheanigans” podcast, the TomTom co-owner, age 39, stated, “She's as cool as s—t.” “Shout-out to Raquel.”

The Minnesota native continued by stating that he believed he overlooked the 27-year-old former SURver while in a relationship with Katie Maloney. Schwartz and the host of the podcast “You're Gonna Love Me” separated in March after more than a decade of marriage.
“I was so immersed in my own life and married that I never took the time to get to know Raquel,” 37-year-old Schwartz told Shay. “She's always been cool. I simply never truly invested the time in her. This is a terrible way to say things. I never gave her much of a chance… She has so much complexity and personality. I've probably written her off.”

The “Good as Gold” singer and her co-star on Bravo also dispelled allegations that he kissed Leviss in April at Coachella. Shay questioned Schwartz whether he would ever “make the rumors true.” Schwartz emphasized that he was not at the music event. The founders of Schwartz & Sandy said, “I don't know what to say.”
Shay urged her podcast guest to play “F–k Marry Kill” with Leviss, Lisa Vanderpump, and Lala Kent earlier in the episode. Tom Schwartz stated, “I anticipate marrying Raquel.”
Us Weekly revealed on August 23 that Schwartz and Leviss “made out” during Shay's wedding festivities. According to an informant, there was significant drinking involved, and they heard “through the grapevine” that “more happened” between the pair.
Schwartz's 35-year-old former wife did not attend the wedding, as she was in Mexico at the time, and she later hinted that she was dissatisfied with what transpired. “I am very glad to be home. “My face says it all, but for real… being back in my safe place feels gooooood,” Maloney said on her Instagram Story on Thursday, August 25, accompanied by a snapshot of herself appearing dissatisfied.
Us revealed the California native filed for divorce one week after Schwartz and Maloney announced their separation in March. During an episode of her podcast earlier this year, Maloney stated of the split, “There wasn't this huge argument that led to this.” It was my decision, which was likely the most difficult and agonizing I've ever had to make.
