Tom Sandoval Deleted His Instagram Account in Order to Avoid Irate Fans

Star of Vanderpump Rules Tom Sandoval canceled his Instagram account, a common indication that a high-stakes reality TV drama is either in the works or about to end.

Generally speaking, it’s a sign of major things to come when well-known Instagram users abruptly erase their accounts.

In this instance, Sandoval’s Instagram account deletion was most likely caused by fallout from the “Scandoval” scandal rather than anything suspicious.

More precisely, it seems that Tom erased his Instagram account right away following the announcement that he was suing Ariana Madix, his co-star on VPR, for allegedly violating her privacy.

Ariana Madix is Being Sued by Tom

The Hollywood Reporter reported on a lawsuit that Tom filed on July 17 in relation to the Season 10 conclusion of Vanderpump Rules.

Tom’s lawsuit, as reported by THR, claims that Ariana invaded his privacy by looking through his phone for potentially embarrassing material.

Details of Sandoval’s newly filed complaint were revealed by THR, which stated that the basis of his claim was Madix’s discovery of material showing Tom and VPR co-star Rachel Leviss:

“Sandoval claims in a civil lawsuit filed in Los Angeles court that Madix illegally ‘obtained access’ to his phone on March 1, 2023, and was shocked to see footage of her partner [Tom Sandoval] and Leviss. Sandoval alleges this violates his privacy.

The lawsuit claims that Madix looked at Sandoval’s phone and watched films on it without getting his “permission or authorization.”

According to the lawsuit, Madix created and shared copies of the explicit videos with several third parties, which is the same accusation Leviss has made in her suit against Madix.

Details of Tom’s lawsuit against Ariana were immediately the kind that would cause a great deal of controversy on social media sites like Instagram; after all, it’s not unusual for people to turn to looking through their partner’s phone if they believe they are unfaithful.

Put differently, the majority of individuals has some kind of experience with being “cheated on,” and even those who have experienced both ends of that specific heartache are sure to identify with Madix.

It appeared that regardless of their status among show fans, people would be more inclined to “side with” Ariana than Tom in such situation.

Then there’s the statement that Ariana’s attorney gave to THR, which essentially served as a rallying cry for distraught VPR viewers to support her.

Again, his message was direct and would definitely relate with anyone who has experienced the shock of learning their partner had been unfaithful.

It asserted that Tom knew “full well what sort of privileges he and Ms. Madix shared in regard to their personal communication devices,” implying that Ariana had tacit permission to look at his phone.

The statement was harsh from the start, characterizing Leviss as Sandoval’s “mistress,” and effectively counterclaiming that Tom’s case against Ariana was actually because he got caught:

That Tom Sandoval is still torturing Ms. Madix is disgusting.

“From having an adulterous relationship that destroyed her home and sense of security, to months of emotional abuse, and now this attempt to further avoid taking accountability for the toll his actions have taken on her and her mental health.

“If he or his mistress had their way, it would be against the law for someone to find out that their spouse or partner was cheating.”

Hurt. Ariana’s lawyer then proceeded with the statement, hitting the opening salvo of a defense out of the park:

“It speaks for itself that Mr. Sandoval went from pleading with Ms. Madix for forgiveness to holding her accountable for his transgressions.

“Clearly, Mr. Sandoval has learnt nothing and feels that he must torture Ms. Madix in an attempt to salvage his reputation, even months after The New York Times named him “the most loathed man in America.”

Ms. Madix is sure that a jury will recognize this latest tactic for what it is and reject his baseless accusations.

As reported, Rachel/Raquel Leviss also initiated legal action earlier this year.

After Tom Sandoval’s Lawsuit Was Made Public, His Instagram Account Disappeared

Tom Sandoval Instagram Deleted

Nobody was prepared for Tom Sandoval’s Instagram account to vanish so quickly, which sparked more criticism.

Glamour repeated information that Ariana gave in a 2023 interview regarding “Scandoval,” and they also highlighted Tom’s “dirty delete” on Instagram.

Another well-known example of technology and romantic relationships colliding, Ariana provided a very believable explanation for why she accessed the content in question, claiming that their accounts were “synced”:

“In June 2023, Madix revealed to Glamour that she and Sandoval had synchronized their devices during their romantic liaison.

“I was just doing stuff on the laptop a few weeks after all of this [broke],” she remarked. “I discovered a ton of stuff in the Notes app after I purchased it, so it’s officially mine.”

“It might be a note titled ‘restaurant,’ but at the very bottom, there are screenshots of text messages and similar items.”

According to PageSix.com, after Tom’s removal from Instagram, irate followers continued to stalk him on associated profiles, including the Instagram account for the bar he co-owns with Tom Schwartz of VPR:

“Tom Sandoval is taking legal action against Ariana now!? You’ve got to be [expletive] kidding me. Fire that [expletive] immediately. He’s the worst, and I won’t spend a single dollar at your establishment if any of it goes to that trashbag,’ commented one outraged individual on the bar’s latest post.”

As of July 18, Tom Sandoval’s Instagram account was still inactive, and every post on Schwartz & Sandy’s bar’s account had comments disabled.
