Lockwood & Company (Season 1)
This planned British detective supernatural thriller series is directed by Joe Cornish and based on the same-titled book series by Jonathan Stroud. The plot will revolve around two teenage boys and a girl with psychic talents who establish a ghost-hunting firm called “Lockwood & Company.”
The three will be played by Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati in the series. It will premiere on Netflix on January 27, 2023.
Poker Face (Season 1)
This forthcoming murder mystery series will be a “case-of-the-week” mystery drama devised by Rian Johnson. Johnson has revealed that the plot would be driven by the characters and will follow the “howcatchem” or inverted detective story structure made popular by the crime drama series “Columbo,” which ran from the late 1970s to the early 2000s.
The current series is planned to premiere on Peacock on January 26, 2023.
Mayfair Witches (Season 1)
This forthcoming supernatural thriller series is based on the novel trilogy “Lives of the Mayfair Witches” by Anne Rice. Dr. Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon, discovers that she is the heiress of the Mayfair dynasty, a family of immensely strong witches who are possessed by a malevolent ghost.
The series featuring Alexandra Daddario as Dr. Fielding is scheduled to premiere on AMC and AMC+ on January 8, 2023.
The Last of Us (Season 1)
This new post-apocalyptic series is based on the same-named video game and revolves around characters locked in a violent and unbearably frightening game who believe the only way to survive is by robbing enemies and searching for item boxes containing their own supplies.
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will play two main characters in the upcoming HBO epic fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” which is scheduled to premiere on January 15, 2023.
The Walking Dead: Dead City (Season 1)
This forthcoming post-apocalyptic horror series will be the fifth edition of The Walking Dead franchise and the fourth spin-off of the original series.
It will center on Maggie and Negan, played by Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, respectively, from the comic books of the same name on which the series is based. The premiere of the series’ first season is scheduled for April 2023 with six episodes.
Justified: City Primeval (Season 1)
This planned Western crime miniseries is a continuation of the 2016 series “Justified” and was inspired by the novel “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit” by Elmore Leonard.
Timothy Olyphant has reprised his role as U.S. Marshal’s Deputy Raylan Givens. The series will launch midway through 2023 on FX.
Yellowjackets (Season 2)
This popular American thriller drama follows a group of soccer players who survive a plane crash in the woods while flying across Canada for a national tournament. The debut of the series’ first season occurred on November 14, 2021. It was nominated for seven Primetime Emmys.
The sitcom got renewed for a second season in December 2021, which will premiere on Showtime on March 26, 2023. In addition, a third season has been renewed for December 2022.
Velma (Season 1)
The plot of this new animated mystery comedy series for adults will focus on the titular investigator Velma Dinkley and his company Mystery, Inc. The series will air on HBO Max from January 12 to February 9, 2023.
