The Showrunner of Boys Says That in Season Five, Nobody is Safe

Eric Kripke, the showrunner of The Boys, teases that no character in season five is certain to live. Over the course of the show’s run, a number of well-known characters have already passed away: Madelyn Stillwell in season 1, Hughie Campbell’s father in season 4, and most recently, Victoria Neuman in the season 4 finale of The Boys.

When it comes to the titular Boys, the series has demonstrated moderation; even though many of them lack superpowers, the group’s members have survived a number of hazardous situations.

In an interview with Games Radar, Kripke made it apparent that the Boys and other major characters in the “super big, apocalyptic” final season are no longer protected by this safety net.

He emphasizes that one of the primary benefits of season 5 ending on a positive note is that he and the other writers won’t have to worry about how a possible character death could ruin a season that comes after. See what he had to say below:

The excitement of the last season is that. Its doors can be blown off. You don’t have to maintain [the cast] for another season, so there’s no way of knowing who will make it. Thus, it is possible for incredibly dramatic events to occur frequently. The writers are really loving it as we begin to cook it up.

In the Boys Season 5, Who Has the Highest Chance of Dying?

The Boys

The fifth season of The Boys is probably going to be the bloodiest one yet, regardless of who ends up dead.

The television series has often veered away from its source material, thus while many of the comic book characters that are crucial to The Boys may die in the show, they may not in the comic book adaptation. Billy Butcher and Homelander are two of the characters most likely to perish because, while Homelander is alive, the planet will never be secure.

Butcher’s illness is terminal, and the intense animosity he and Homelander harbor for one another is about to take their lives.

Since Sister Sage’s strategy and intelligence enabled Homelander to seize control of the US government and impose supreme dominance, saving the globe might also mean sacrificing Sister Sage’s life. She might not have a strong enough tool without Homelander to test her beliefs further, but if she lives, her danger will still exist.

The vile Deep, Firecracker, and Soldier Boy shall all perish as well, preferably in a humiliating way, if justice is to be served.

Several well-liked fan favorites will undoubtedly meet their demise in The Boys; among the most potentially disastrous deaths are Mother’s Milk, Frenchie, Kimiko, Hughie, and Starlight.

A-Train is an alternative, maybe bringing his journey to an honorable conclusion with a selfless sacrifice, but it would be disappointing given his fulfilling redemption arc in season 4. The fifth season of The Boys is probably going to be the bloodiest one yet, regardless of who ends up dead.
