Few antagonists in “Rick and Morty” have the same effect on Morty Smith (Justin Roiland) as Brad. Fans will presumably recall him as a jockish student at Morty’s school who briefly dated Jessica, the love of his life if the name doesn’t resonate (Kari Wahlgren).

Brad is portrayed by Echo Kellum, who is perhaps best known for portraying a fan-favorite DC superhero in the Arrowverse of the CW. What these fans may not be aware of, though, is that Kellum has a voice-acting career that is noteworthy in its own right, with projects ranging from an animated children’s series to one of the raunchiest, most revolting video games in recent memory.
Mr. Terrific was voiced by Echo Kellum on Freedom Fighters: The Ray
In 2015, Echo Kellum began making recurrent appearances on the CW popular series “Arrow.” He portrayed Curtis Holt, a technological prodigy and Olympic-caliber decathlete who immediately becomes connected with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as one of their “men in the chair.”
Nonetheless, comic book enthusiasts quickly deduced that Curtis would become the superhero Mr. Terrific, a role he would undertake for multiple seasons as a series regular.
Kellum portrayed Mr. Terrific in multiple Arrowverse projects, including “The Flash,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Freedom Fighters: The Ray,” which initially aired 12 episodes on the CW Seed channel. “The Ray” followed a regular advocate for fair housing who is given superpowers and a mission to overthrow the fascist regime on Earth-X. Mr.
Terrific proposes to instruct Ray alongside Green Arrow and The Flash. Kellum left the Arrowverse after Season 7 of “Arrow” in 2019, but returned for the series’ eighth and final season as a guest star.
Echo Kellum Voices of King Joaquin in the Disney Film Elena of Avalor
In 2016, the Disney Channel began showing “Elena of Avalor,” an animated Disney Princess series about a teenage crown princess who must learn how to lead her people effectively despite her predisposition to act without considering the repercussions.
Aimee Carrero provided the voice of the show’s eponymous young princess in “She-Ra.” In addition, it included a large cast of voice performers, including Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”), Chris Parnell (“Rick and Morty,” “Archer”), Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”), and Jaime Camil (“Jane The Virgin”). Throughout the first season of the show, Echo Kellum voiced the recurrent character of King Joaquin of Cariza.
Kellum’s first appearance as the voice of King Joaqun can be heard in Season 1, Episode 8, “Royal Retreat,” in which he is one of several new royals the young princess must meet.
In the middle of a diabolical scheme originating from inside their own ranks, Joaqun demonstrates his wisdom and composure, ultimately trusting Elena’s perspective and saving the day. Kellum returned to voice the role in a number of future episodes, including the August 2020 series finale, “Coronation Day.”
