The couple asked that Marjan direct her countless fans to a Crowdfunding website. Marjan decided not to bite, instead exposing the pair for attempting to manipulate and exploit her, and subsequently resigning from her position.

In an interview with Hello Magazine, Karam expounded on her character’s upcoming events “9-1-1: Lone Star” by stating, “But Marjan has resigned and she is not returning quickly — I can tell you for free! Yet, the plot is not that Marjan leaves and then returns; instead, Marjan leaves, and the audience travels with her throughout the season and follows her adventure elsewhere.

She will not be in Austin for an extended period of time.” She added that most procedural television viewers are accustomed to swiftly resolving plots, but this one would not.

Karam then stated that her character would undergo intense introspection to determine whether or not she wishes to stay a firefighter. This means Karam is not leaving “9-1-1: Lone Star,” but her character’s path will take her away from her existing coworkers and friends.
