Will there be a “The Punisher: Season 3” or not?
As of now, There will be “no further episodes and seasons will be released along with Marvel’s Jessica Jones as per Netflix Statement of 2019”.

“Marvel’s ‘The Punisher’ will not return for a third season on Netflix,” Netflix said in a statement. “Showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the terrific crew, and exceptional cast including star Jon Bernthal, delivered an acclaimed and compelling series for fans, and we are proud to showcase their work on Netflix for years to come. In addition, in reviewing our Marvel programming, we have decided that the upcoming third season will also be the final season for Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones.’ We are grateful to showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, star Krysten Ritter and the entire cast and crew, for three incredible seasons of this groundbreaking series, which was recognized by the Peabody Awards among many others. We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning.”
As per ScreenRant, Disney can’t use Daredevil, Punisher, and the defenders until 2020 and that might be reason of delaying in The punisher: Season 3.

The Punisher Season 3: Release Date
It is very disappointing for the lovers of the Marvel series that there are few chances of having Punisher season 3 episodes hitting our TV screens. Because Netflix has canceled its tie-up with Marvel on Feb. 2019.
Possibility of Releasing “The Punisher: Season 3” On Disney+
But there is a great news that a new streaming service has been launched last year i.e. “Disney+” that owns the Marvel series now. So, there is a hope of releasing “The Punisher: Season 3” on another streaming service other than Netflix, it may be released on Disney+. There are chances of releasing this series in 2021. But, As there is no official statement, so nothing is certain regarding its release.
The first season of Punisher got published on 17 November, 2017.
The second season was published on 18 January, 2019.
The Third Season Might released in starting of 2021.

The Punisher Season 3: Plot
Before going deep in season 3, we should know briefly what had happened till now. The main role in the series is Frank Castle who is working as the Punisher. He played the role of a construction worker during day time and works as a vigilante at night. He uses his deadly tricks to fight with the underworld.
In the last of the second season, Hitman Pilgrim, Frank Castle and street smart grifter Amy, all decided together that they will go their own ways without interfering each other.
The second season ended at a point creating suspense in viewer’s minds. So, Season 3 was expected. The story of season 3 can not be predicted as there is no source available.
Why Netflix canceled the Series?
A deal was announced between Netflix and Marvel series in November 2013. But Netflix has canceled its tie-up with Marvel on Feb. 2019. There could be many reasons for breaking the tie-up with the Marvel. Though, Netflix has not given any official statement on the cancellation of The Punisher Season 3. There are many rumors about it. Some of the reasons can be:
- Marvel shows are very expensive to produce.
- Only hardcore Marvel fans were showing interest in these shows. These shows were not performing great.
- The absence of management, casting, and images.
- Netflix wants to gain the attention of the public in starting, so he signed with Marvel, But now Netflix can handle to produce hit shows by itself.

The Punisher Season 3: Cast
Always, there is a great role of the casts in the success of a TV series. If The Punisher: Season3 got released then there are chances of some of the old casts from previous seasons to return here.
It totally depends whether the casts would be picked up from where they are left off in the previous series or take other casts in the series in a new manner. The expected star casts are:
