Is “The Mole” Got Renewal for Season 2 on Netflix?

The Mole, a remake of a show that first aired in 2001 and became a hit in 2022, was Netflix’s latest reality TV hit. And it looks like that was just the beginning because the streaming giant just announced that the show, which is full of sabotage, will be back for another season.
The Mole is back for a second season, so no, you’re not having deja vu. The Mole, a reality show that will debut on Netflix in October 2022, has been renewed for a second season.
The Mole was first shown on ABC in 2001, and it ran on that network until 2008. Netflix’s version came out first last year. The Mole is a series of high-stakes games where twelve players have to work together to complete challenges that earn money for the overall prize pot.
But only one of the 12 contestants will win the pot as a whole. One of the twelve contestants is a “mole,” whose job is to bring the group down at every turn. In the end, only one contestant will be left standing, having found the mole and won the prize money.
The show is based on a Belgian show called “De Mol,” which translates to “The Mole.” Bart De Pauw, Michel Vanhove, Michiel Devlieger, and Tom Lenaerts made the Belgian series. Primitives are in charge of selling the series.
Alex Wagner was the host of the first season of the reboot, but it’s not clear if she’ll be back for Season 2. Executive producers are Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, Rikkie Proost, David Tibballs, and David Burris. Eureka Productions makes the show. Netflix is looking for contestants for the new season right now.
From 2001 to 2009, ABC aired the first five seasons of “The Mole.” Both versions are based on an unscripted show from Belgium called “De Mol,” which was made by Bart De Pauw, Michel Vanhove, Michiel Devlieger, and Tom Lenaerts and distributed by Primitives. Anderson Cooper was the host for the first three seasons. Ahmad Rashad took over for Season 4, and then Jon Kelley took over for Season 5.
In the last episode of season 1, the Netflix competition revealed that software developer Kesi Neblett, 27, was the saboteur. Will Richardson, a lifestyle brand manager from Nevada, was the only contestant to correctly guess who the mole was. The 29-year-old left the show with $101,500.
