Produced by Howy Parkins, The Lion Guard is an action-comedy anime American Tv series based on the famous anime movie, The Lion King.

It is the second anime series adaptation of the film after Timon and Pumbaa. Timon and Pumbaa are the very adaptation aired from 1995 to 1999. The story focuses on a team Lion Guard who has the sole responsibility of protecting the kingdom called Prideland.

The Lion King has a crazy fanbase, and the anime is the sequel of it. Therefore, the series also created a huge fan following. The debut season premiered from January 15, 2016 to April 21, 2017. Subsequently, the second season premiered from July 7th, 2017 to April 22, 2019, and the third from August 3rd, 2019 to November 3, 2019. There are in total of 74 episodes ,Below are all the updates regarding new episodes.

The Plot The Lion Guard Season 4: The Story

The series spins around a team Lion Guard who has the responsibility of protecting Pridelands from the enemies.

Kion, the son of King Simba, became the leader of The Lion guard group. He did something which was never happened in history. He broke the rule of the Lion guard. He included four other animals in the group to protect the Pridelands named Bunga, the honey badger, Fuli the cheetah, Ono, the egret, and Beshte, the hippopotamus. Mufasa, the grandmother of Kion, guided them to protect the kingdom.

In Season 2, Scar, the evil uncle of Kion, returned to take the kingdom. He was earlier the leader of the Lion Guard but misused his position.

The Scar was building his force since then to retake the Prideland. He also helped the other animals, who wanted to take Pridesland. In the end, the Lion Guard with Simba and other animals defeated him and threw him out of the Pridelands.

Pridelanders got concerned about the attack, but King Simba calmed them down. The Pridelanders took a sigh of relief when they saw the little baobab sapling of Markinni had survived the attack of Scar. Kion told everybody that they have to fight together to win this fight.

In the finale of the season, The Lion Guard had successfully defeated Scar and the army with the aid of Ono Hadithi and Anga.

In season 3, we saw a new Lion Guard had replaced the original Lion guard, and the two entered into the competition that who will protect the Prideland better.

The Lion Guard Season 4: Will It Happen?

The creators have not officially announced anything regarding the fourth installment of the series. The last episode aired on November 3, 2019, and more than a year has passed since then. After three blockbuster seasons, what happens to Disney? Is season 4 of The Lion Guard canceled?

Well, here is the answered. The season 4 has not been officially However, Disney has closed the Lion Guard in the studio. And also, Ford stated that Season 3 will going to be the final season.

If we go by the above information, it is unlikely that the series will return. And we are likely not going to hear from the show executives again. We will update here if any news comes.

The Lion Guard: Outlook

Though the series has a huge fan following, it has not been able to score a good IMDb rating. It just got a mediocre rating of 6.5 out of 10.

It is currently streaming on Disney and Amazon Prime videos to watch. As of now, it is not streaming on Indian Netflix. However, you can watch it by just changing the Netflix region.

Is There Any Trailer Available for the Lion Guard Season 4?

There is no official news regarding the renewal of the series so far. Therefore, no question of a trailer arises. However, you will get several trailers for season 4 on Youtube.

Final Verdict

The series is quite entertaining. It is one of the best anime series to watch with your kids. The plot development is superb, and the soundtrack is fabulous. The timing of the dialogues is perfect as well. The story will keep you hooked for hours, and you will want more and more of it. Some people don't like it as they considered it a kid's show.
