The Great Season 3 Release Date: Is Season 3 Officially Got Renewal?
The Great is a historical and satirical black comedy-drama streaming TV show made by Tony McNamara. Hulu, which made the show, called it “anti-historical” and said it was loosely based on Catherine the Great’s rise to power as Empress of All Russia.
McNamara, Elle Fanning, Marian Macgowan, Brittany Kahan Ward, Doug Mankoff, Andrew Spaulding, Josh Kesselman, Ron West, and Matt Shakman were all executive producers of the show. The first season of the show started on May 15, 2020. The second season started on November 19, 2021, and the show was picked up for a third season in January 2022.
So, when do we get the third season? How does the story go? Who will be back to play the same part? Read on to find out more.
When Will The Great Season 3 Come Out?
We don’t know when The Great season 3 will come out as of this writing. The third season of The Great is on its way, which is good news. In January 2022, Hulu announced that the show had been renewed, and the new season will have ten episodes. A tweet with a happy tone confirmed the news.
Season 1 of The Great came out on May 15, 2020. Season 2 didn’t come out until November 19, 2021, because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Since lockdowns are no longer in place, it seems likely that the time between seasons 2 and 3 won’t be as long this time (fingers crossed).
Taking into account a realistic production schedule and the fact that the pandemic is no longer causing major delays, The Great season 3 is likely to come out at the earliest in late 2023. As soon as we find out more, we’ll be sure to let you know.

What Will Happen in The Great Season 3?
The plot of Season 3 of The Great is still a secret. But we can guess what could happen in Season 3. At the end of season 2, we saw a lot of murders, sadness, and relationships that were not easy to understand. Catherine killed the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and tried to kill her husband, Peter, who had been kicked off the throne.
She tried to stab him in the chest but killed his copy instead. On the other hand, Peter’s position in the battle for the throne is very important. The former king of Sweden tells the imprisoned king that he must kill Catherine in order to get the throne back and leave peacefully. This is not true.
