As of now, it's a matter of counting down the days before the third season of The Boys premieres on Prime Video.
What, Then, Lies Ahead in This Story?
There's always something new to learn about the show's future, whether, from the cast and crew themselves, exciting new arrivals, costume reveals, or unique conversations from behind the scenes.
When Can We Expect New Episodes of the Boys to Air in the Coming Months?

On January 7, it was reported that the official release date for season three is June 3, 2022, so you can't say that The Boys team doesn't keep fans entirely up to date on everything that's going on.
The third season began filming on February 24, 2021 and was officially completed on September 17, 2021.
Unlike most streaming sites, The Boys decided to offer the second season in weekly installments rather than a single release.
It's expected that the same thing will happen with the upcoming episodes, with the gap between filming wrapping up and airing likely due to the requirement for significant special effects.
As a precaution, we have moles in Vought International, a spy under Congresswoman Neuman's desk (with a backup in case their skull explodes), covert cameras in Haitian Kings' bunker, and a trained mouse under the Sage Grove Center floors.
What Will happen in the Third Season of the Boys?
“Erik does have an ending in mind that he likes and is working towards,” Rogen said in an interview with GamesRadar.
But he was only able to give us that much.
The first episode's title is also known to us… ‘Payback,' as the music plays. Another group, which included our new characters Soldier Boy and Stormfront, was mentioned in the comics. Kripke explains that Soldier Boy “has been a mainstay of Vought's for decades” in an interview with TV Guide.
When asked about how Soldier Boy knew Stormfront when she was Liberty, he said, “We're writing the history of Vought and how all the characters weave in.”
The Boys have released a Preview of Season 2 of Amazon Prime
To say that the season two finale is a game-changer. Homelander may be in Vought Tower, but the Boys are no longer there. Considering how his story ended, don't be surprised if Queen Maeve's extortion scheme goes awry during Season 3.
“My favorite season is [Season 3], and it's one of the most fun seasons of television I've ever worked on,” Starr told TVLine.
To paraphrase, “I believe the fans will go crazy for season three… the payoff will be well worth the wait.”
It was a blast working on season two, and I thought it was a significant step up from season one, so it's only natural that it would be a continuation of that experience.
He concluded by saying: “Every time I turn a page, I'm eager to see what the writers, these crazy people, have in store for us, and it's a beautiful feeling in season three to be still surprised and excited.
Only one thing is sure: Season three will cause a furious response from the audience.
That final twist, however, is the most significant change of all. Victoria Neuman's position on Vought is unclear. Perhaps she's trying to take advantage of the inevitable chaos.
Doumit told GamesRadar that she was eager to learn more about Victoria Neuman's backstory and how she got to where she is in season three. “Also, I can't wait to see her blow some minds and f**k up some sh*t.”
Black Noir actor Nathan Mitchell chimed in, saying, “It's so interesting because you have this forced alliance between people. Homelander doesn't trust Maeve and Starlight. The fight with Starlight shows Noir's distrust of Maeve,” he says.
In season three, the various dynamics will come to the fore and wreak havoc.
The third season of Vought could also be a precursor to a spin-off series for younger Vought superheroes, which will follow their training at school.
Kripke told Deadline, “We've been a political and satirical show.” “We wanted to delve into the recent history of both Vought, the fictional company, and the history of the United States as a whole… We became fascinated by the stories we tell ourselves to make ourselves feel good about ourselves, and we began to see the United States of America as a myth.
“I'd say in previous seasons, the boogeyman for you to be scared of used to be, ‘The terrorists are coming to get you.' “Your neighbor is coming to get you” has now evolved into a more sinister, “Your neighbor is coming to get you.” What worries me is how our politics have turned us against each other. As a result, we're interested in learning more about what it means to be an American.
There are a lot of conversations about the government's response to the COVID epidemic that we're having in the United States in season three.” And I predict that metaphorically speaking, you'll see that in some way or another.” In a roundtable discussion, Kripke also stated that they would not avoid COVID-19.
We're a little concerned about Billy Butcher's season three arc after one conversation Kripke had with The Boys creator Garth Ennis (via Consequence Of Sound).
It's a different medium,' I told [Ennis] at one point.” A new approach is required.'” That's what Kripke stated. So I asked him, ‘Tell me what's most important to you,' He did because he had been through Preacher.” “Garth was like, ‘Just get Butcher right,'” I told illustrator and co-creator, Darick Robertson.
Of course, if they're following his comic book arc closely, getting Butcher right means making him the show's most tragic villain. Watch out for Butcher's genocidal impulses in season three, when the show is expected to begin laying the groundwork for its climax.
However, we know the sixth episode's title: “Alone in the Dark.”
In the comics, it's a company-sponsored annual event in which employees are free to do whatever they want. As you can see, the picture is clear. Regardless of what happens in season three, it will be bloody. It isn't very polite.
Laz Alonso told Collider, “I'll put it to you this way.” One of her many responsibilities is to order the blood, which I learned about while talking to the makeup artist in charge.
“She told me that season 2 was all about her…… If my memory serves me correctly, season 2 didn't use more than a gallon of blood. In Season 3, we've already drained more than three gallons. “So that should give you a sense of where it's headed,” he says.
In an interview with The Illuminerdi, Kripke weighed in on one of the most hotly debated topics: who would win a fight between Superman and Homelander?
In my opinion, Homelander is the most likely suspect due to his sociopathic tendencies in contrast to Superman's morals. There appear to be zero difficulties for Homelander in ripping Superman's testicles out of his body. Furthermore, Superman will be like a man with a big stick. A “competition” is not what it appears to be.
Since they have nearly identical abilities, you must take a chance on the one who has an extra ability: the ability to be wholly evil.
When Can I Watch the New Trailer for Season Three of the Boys?
Once again, we have The Boys to thank for this. It's almost there, but not quite. The new, bloody season three trailer will have you feeling like you're right in the middle of it all.
