The Alaskan Bush People Season 13 starts on a solemn and sad note on September 19, 2021. After the shocking loss of their patriarch, Billy Brown, the family will be seen coping with his death. Bear Brown has managed to keep up and is trying to handle the grief along with the rest of his siblings.
The family continues to live in the woods in order to achieve their father’s ambitions that he had for his family. The show started with its first season in 2014 and has continued ever since. It is aired on Discovery Channel.
Bear tries to keep the family spirit high in order to achieve their goals. Not just that, he is the one interacting with people outside the family. He is the one who has taken the task of informing the supporters and giving them updates. He was the one who broke the story about his father’s ill-timed demise after a stroke.
He had a son named River Anthony in March 2020 and is struggling to restore a family balance while trying to amend his friendship with Raiven Adams.
Plot of Alaskan Bush People Season 13
The show begins with the mention of Billy’s death and also a footage where his son Bam Bam is seen asking people to call 911. But they are not able to save Billy. Alaskan Bush People Season 13 has been dedicated to Billy, who was the head of the family. It is his vision that the family is trying to achieve. Following a devastating wildfire that swept through North Star Ranch last year, the Browns return to survey the destruction.
Billy died on Feb. 7, 2021 after suffering a seizure. He was 68. In the first look of the new season, we see Ami Brown and the two daughters, Rain and Snowbird along with the five sons, Bear, Matt, Bam Bam, Gabe and Noah give a tribute to their father. The first episode of Season 13 is basically about Billy and how he was an adventurous person who led the Wolf Pack to greatness.
Billy’s 36-year-old son Bam Bam is seen getting emotional as he recalls his father’s words where he had said that the family will have to continue even when he is not here.
Snowbird gets nostalgic about her father’s last moments as he was trying to prepare the family to achieve their vision with more passion and was laying out a plan for everyone.
It was as if he knew that his journey was coming to an end. Snowbird is the most devastated after Billy’s death as she was very close to him and says that she will never give up her fight for total freedom.
Snowbird is then seen considering going back to Alaska as she feels like it is calling to her but she asks herself if she wants to move back or not.
Is the Show Real or Fake?
A lot of questions have been raised about the credibility of the show and it is often said that it is scripted since none of the people of the family are ever dirty. They always overcome obstacles.
They tend to find things easily whenever they want. They roam around with a camera crew and hence, it is hard to believe that they actually survive in the wild.

There is always a doubt but one cannot deny the popularity this show has attained as it has now reached 13 seasons. So, it might be fake but people are watching it and apparently loving the drama that the family brings to the table.
Be it Bear’s relationship with his girlfriend or their sudden patch up or the fact that the two daughters are from very different age groups but look alike.
There is some sort of scheming that is reflected clearly in this family that claims to live in a single cabin. It is also said that they keep their children close knit and they are not able to interact with the outside world. It almost sounds dangerous and feels like a cult. But these reviews yet again do not change the fact that the show is a hit.
