Thad Matta (born July 11, 1967) is the current head coach of the Butler Bulldogs men’s basketball team in the United States. Matta coached the Ohio State Buckeyes to five Big Ten regular season crowns (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012), four Big Ten Tournament titles (2007, 2010, 2011 and 2013), two Final Four visits (2007 and 2012), and the 2008 NIT Championship from 2004 to 2017.
