Succession Season 4 Release Date: Succession is Finally Returning With New Season
The hit HBO drama (which might also be described as a satirical black comedy) follows billionaire Roy and his dysfunctional progeny as they spend their days plotting to become the new CEO of their family’s worldwide media empire.
Son Kendall’s attempt to overthrow his father was televised during the third season, which went into “beast mode.” Sadly, Kendall’s demise was also broadcast on television. By the time the season three finale aired in December 2021, the writers had blown the show wide open with a dramatic ending that left the audience immediately yearning for answers.

Succession Season 4 Plot
The turbulent season finale of Succession left fans with two enormous questions: will Waystar Royco be sold, and who informed Logan that the Roy siblings would be storming the country to overthrow the king? Season 4 of Succession will undoubtedly examine these two circumstances.
In addition to confirming that work had begun on season 4, the announcements on June 27, 2022, also stated that the next season will consist of ten episodes and provided a storyline synopsis.

The official plot summary for the fourth season of Succession reads as follows: “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson nears. As the Roy family contemplates what their life would be like once the sale is finalized, they experience existential turmoil and familial discord as a result of the impending sale. A power struggle emerges as the family faces a future in which their cultural and political influence will be significantly diminished.”
During the wedding of Logan’s ex-wife and the mothers of Shiv, Kendall, and Roman in Italy, Logan began negotiations with tech CEO Lukas Matsson to sell WayStar Royko. The Roy siblings then banded together in a hasty effort to sabotage the acquisition, rejoining Kendall after his unsuccessful attempt to destroy the company, and using their supermajority to do so.
Due to Roman’s crucial role in the arrangement with Matsson, Logan offered Roman a position on the new board, which he declined along with his siblings. But, like his historical namesake, Roman’s kingdom collapsed along with that of the other Roy siblings when Logan revealed he had struck a deal with their mother to secure the majority shares from her. How did he know to do that, though? Who advised him?
What the audience did witness was Shiv informing Tom of the action, which Tom subsequently relayed to Greg. But surely Tom would not overthrow his wife, Shiv, even though she does not reciprocate his love? How could Cousin Greg possibly have the means to execute such a thing?
Many outstanding questions may be explored in the plot of the fourth season. Will the merger between WayStar RoyCo and GoJo proceed? What are the repercussions for the Roy family? From Logan’s perspective, he has won. But is the battle ever completely won if we have another season to look forward to?
For the time being, this is all we know about the release date for Succession season 4, but as production proceeds, we will uncover more secrets from within the walls of Waystar Royco. In the interim, check out our release date guide for Fear the Walking Dead season 8.
