Plot
Taking place 20 years after a virus pandemic causes civilization to crumble, Station Eleven’s storyline is set in the future. Upon encountering a violent cult led by a man whose role is unintentionally related to a member of the troupe while on the road performing, a group of survivors who make their living as travelling performers find their lives thrown into disarray.
There is a young woman named Kirsten who is a member of the group and who is the star actor of the Travelling Symphony. At the beginning of the pandemic, she began working as a child actress, appearing in a production with Arthur Leander.
When she isn’t performing, she can be found reading over and over again a graphic novel titled “Station Eleven.” As we all know, the best stories are those that are about stories themselves. A similar situation exists in this series, which recounts the stories of its many characters throughout its course of events.
For example, there’s Clark Thompson, who used to be Arthur Leander’s best buddy and is now in charge of a secluded facility at the Severn City Airport. Clark Thompson was once Arthur Leander’s best friend. The character of Clark is Tyler’s uncle, and following his father’s death, he ends up marrying Tyler’s mother. This produces a great deal of conflict between him and Tyler, and it makes for an extremely compelling storyline.
In the second case, there’s Jeevan Chaudhary, a man who struggles with panic episodes but eventually succeeds in becoming a quiet and serene physician. On the show, Jeevan goes through a lot, including the death of his brother Frank, a writer who became a recluse after suffering an injury that rendered him unable to work.
Then there’s Tyler, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth who, as a result of a childhood tragedy, grows up to become a cult leader known as The Prophet, who is in charge of a gang of misbehaving children. Because the first season’s plot is so engaging, we question if the same will be true if a second season of Station Eleven is produced.
