The star of General Hospital, Kate Mansi, is soon to get married!
Just before the Fourth of July holiday, producer Matt McInnis proposed to the 36-year-old actress on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, July 4. She also offered a glimpse of her beautiful ring.
Mansi reposted McInnis’ Instagram engagement photo, which included the happy-looking pair in the photo. In the picture, McInnis was seen holding the actress in his arms and kissing her forehead while she put her left hand—which bore the engagement ring—on his chest. They posed before a picture-perfect backdrop of towering mountains and vegetation.
Tease their engagement date with a comment that said, “Apparently today is a holiday, but I think July 3rd was even better.” McInnis shared the photo.
Mansi left a remark under the photo, writing, “LGM(atty)”; this is the same term she used in an Instagram Stories photo of herself eating a sandwich while flaunting her new rock. With a straightforward silver band, the engagement ring seems to be an emerald-cut diamond.
Mansi revealed to Soap Opera Digest that she intended to spend a low-key Fourth of July celebration in the outdoors with friends prior to the unexpected engagement.
In an interview published on Wednesday, July 3, she told the publication, “I’ll be heading to a cabin to get in some much-needed nature time with my closest friends.”
Mansi’s costar Kristen Vaganos from General Hospital was among the friends of the couple who congratulated them in the post’s comment section. She stated that the engagement was “the best news to ever hit the internet!!!!!” “The caption, the ring, the couple, I love it all!” actress Hannah Masi commented on Instagram. Congratulations, you two!
Eliza Taylor, star of 100, expressed her joy at the news by posting a number of emoticons, including as a sobbing, heart, and celebrating emojis.
