Snowpiercer is returning to our screens – and sooner than you think.
Not only that, but fans of the series can look forward to not one, but two seasons, with the fourth installment already confirmed by US network TNT.

Release Date of Snowpiercer Season 3
As per What to Watch, Snowpiercer season 3 will resume with a new episode on TNT in the United States on Monday, March 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The most recent episodes will be available on Netflix in the United Kingdom on Tuesday, March 29.
Every Tuesday, people in the UK will be able to watch new episodes on Netflix. The first episode will be available on January 25.

The Plot of Snowpiercer Season 3
The show builds off of the film and adheres to its core structure. The last of humanity fights off the frozen planet from a massive train that never stops moving. The people in the first class have it pretty good, while the workers in the third class are living in abject poverty and planning a revolution.
Even though the show has borrowed much from the film, its narrative direction has veered so far off the original plot that we doubt the film’s climactic third act will provide any insight into the series’ climactic third season.
“I would say we often let the storytelling dictate it, and we have a number of elements to this show. We constantly mention how it’s a bit of a genre mash-up. It’s a human drama; it’s an action-adventure show; it’s a science fiction show,” Clements said to Deadline.
“[Co-showrunners] Graeme [Manson] and [co-EP] Aubrey [Nealon] are just very good about making sure that those three narratives are alive, and that’s usually how we come to the conclusion of what [a particular] season would be. So the answer is, we’re always chasing something big that can open up the storytelling,” says Nealon.
After the revelation in season two that the planet is getting warmer – with the train possibly to blame – one thing is certain: the climate change metaphor will continue. It’s too vast a subject to be settled in a single conversation this year, therefore this thread is likely to continue.
The second season’s conclusion foreshadowed “weather ahead,” and it appears the elements will play a significant role as the antagonist in the upcoming third season.
