What Was the Cause of Slick Goku’s Death?
On January 21, Groover’s family said that he had died. His voice actor friend, Freddie Heinz, said that he died of a “severe seizure.” He wrote on Twitter, “I’ve been quiet for the past few days because Reggie, who you know as @SlickGoku2GS, died of a severe seizure two days ago. He was a good friend of mine, and I’m very sad about what happened.
The YouTuber’s family has now started a GoFundMe campaign to ask for help paying for the funeral. “Reggie’s soul was creative. He made his own YouTube group and worked hard to make his own videos. Anywhere Reggie would go he would make friends. “Reggie was the kind of man who would stand up for the people he cared about,” said the campaign.

“Reggie is a reliable man who works hard to get better. Reggie liked getting the most out of life. He loved running, swimming, and skateboarding. Reggie loved juice, and he would drink it every day. “Reggie’s grandfather taught him a lot about life when they went fishing together,” wrote Groover’s mother, Janice.
How Did Slick Goku Rise to Fame?
Groover became known for his short animation and voice-over videos set in the Slick Goku universe. He started his YouTube channel on December 1, 2018, and now has 2,64,000 subscribers. In the last four years, he has posted 591 videos to his channel, which have been seen more than 43 million times.
The last video he posted to his channel was on January 18, one day before he died. The name of his last video is “Eren Jaeger Meets Optimus Prime [SFM].” Groover also had a large number of people who followed him on Twitter. In January 2016, he joined the platform and quickly gained more than 9,000 followers.
Tributes Pour in for the YouTuber
As soon as word got out that Groover had died, his friends and fans started showing how sad they were and paying tribute to him. “Farewell, Slick Goku. I only saw a few of his videos, but he was so creative and passionate about his art. “I can’t believe he’s gone,” one of his fans wrote.

A fan wrote on Twitter, “I’m f***ing heartbroken. Slick Goku is gone, bro. He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met who made content, and he was one of my biggest sources of inspiration. I remember how happy I was when he retweeted some art I had posted on my other Twitter account. Sleep well, king.”
“Reggie was liked by a lot of people, and he had fans all over the world who were happy because of him. JB Coleman, Groover’s best friend, wrote that Reggie had an effect on everyone he met.
