With his string of critically praised films under his belt, Taika Waititi quickly became one of today’s most well-known directors. For a good reason: he’s quickly becoming one of the most notable directors was working today. A few years ago, he co-created the FX comedy series “Reservation Dogs,” which was just renewed for a second season on the network.

A group of Native American teenagers known as the Rez Dogs live on an Oklahoma reservation and go by Elora Danan Postoak, Bear Smallhill, Cheese, and Willie Jack, all played by Devery Jacobs D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Lane Factor, and Paulina Alexis. It’s not uncommon for the Rez Dogs to get into some mischief while trying to raise money for a cross-country relocation.

The second season of “Reservation Dogs” will premiere in the fall. However, the young people have already learned a lot about life and themselves in Season 1. Season 2 of “Reservation Dogs” will hopefully answer many of the remaining problems from Season 1.

With Reservation Dogs, we couldn’t wait to share it with viewers, and we’re delighted that they seem to enjoy it as much as we do. Putting in a pre-order for the upcoming year makes us pleased! With the help of Taika Waititi and his coworkers and an all-star cast and crew, Sterlin Harjo created one of television’s best new comedies and a trailblazing showcase of diversity and untapped potential.

This Season’s Reservation Dogs Cast

It’s not yet known if the four main characters from Season 1 will be returning for the second season. Rita (Sarah Podemski), Officer Big, Mose, Mekko, and William “Spirit” Knifeman are just a few of the characters who are expected to make an appearance (Dallas Goldtooth). Please keep a lookout for any official casting announcements so we can meet some new characters.

For the first time in the history of television, “Reservation Dogs” features a majority Indigenous cast and crew and a majority Indigenous cast and crew (per Salon). Harjo explained how they went about finding them during the initial casting process to find actors who could accurately represent persons of Indigenous American heritage.

Reserving Dogs accomplished nothing more than that.” We went out into the neighborhoods and did some casting. We collected tapes from indigenous tribes all around the country. There’s no doubt about it. You can’t get to Hollywood Boulevard from here. You have to go into these areas and locate the actors,” he said.

Second Season of Reservation Dogs

In Season 1, Elora, Beer, Cheese, and Willie Jack are all at a crossroads. A disagreement ensues among the group members, mainly Elora and Bear, when Willie Jack says she has changed her mind about going to California.

In Season 2, Elora and Jackie (Elva Guerra), the head of the Rez Dogs’ rival gang, plan to go to California, further dividing the group.

Television Line interviewed Woon-A-Tai about the possibility of his character hearing from his father in the next season: We’ll make it if I’m right. It is possible that Punkin Lusty, Bear’s father, will also arrive. Can we expect Punkin to make a trip to Oklahoma? I don’t think so.

The end of Jodi’s involvement in the project is currently unknown. There is no guarantee that Bear will want to see his father if the Reservation Dogs visit California. […] How will Punkin fare in the future? Something like that makes sense to me. In all honesty, I don’t know what the writers will come up with!”

Even though Season 2 of “Reservation Dogs” hasn’t been formally announced, we expect it to be as heartwarming and heartbreaking as Season 1.
