Why did Gareth Evans Raid 3 not take and have a great plot for the 3rd movie which is more interesting and better than the original one? Raid series or movies is an action crime film of Indonesia which first started off as a cult in 2011 and then released in 2012.
It is one of the most impressive movies with great stunt work, action crime with best fight choreography and photography, and making Iko Uwais the leading international star. Sequel to the original “The Raid” second movie came in 2014 with the Title “The Raid 2: Berandal”.

Evans with Uwais in 2012 shook the action world by taking action stunt movies in the action crime entertainment niche as sees the talent of Uwais when he traveled to Indonesia to film a Documentary about the martial art Silat.
The Story of the Raid starts with Rama and his team commanders to raid the Jakarta Apartment which has 30 floors, where the team came to complete their mission to Kill Tama (Ray Sahetapy) who is a criminal lord or leader in the crime world.
Tama manages the whole apartment with the help of Andy and Mad Dog and rent rooms to criminals under his protection. Silat-based action scenes of Merantau are also combined with The Raid with survival horror game tone.
Its Sequel The Raid 2 also continued with more action and crime family plot which makes it more wilder action film in the action industry and also the director wants to make Raid 3 but at the last, another sequel will never happened and it was explained by Gareth Evans, director of the “The Raid”.

Gareth Evans recently talks about why raid 3 is unlikely to happen even with a great storyline and everything material is prepared for the production of another sequel. Evans Explained to the Empire Spoiler Special Podcast that his interest has moved to other projects and could not see himself back out to make another Sequel.
Evan directed the most horror film of the Netflix “Apostle” and also created and directed Gangs of London which is the new crime series of British. He said, “You work with other people, you meet other people and want to work with them again, you want to try different things, you find a story that suddenly captures your attention and that’s the thing you want to do next. Things get offered to you that are hard to pass up on.”

Plot for The Raid 3 Explained
Even, The Raid 3 is not happening but Evans shared the storyline or plot for the another sequel of raid after getting high success in 2 movies i.e. The Raid and The Raid 2. The plot explained by director was-
“The story was going to go back in time to the moment in ‘The Raid 2’ when the Goto Gang, the Japanese gang, are having a meeting, and Goto tells his right-hand man to take care of it, wipe out every corrupt cop and politician that they have on the books and start fresh,” said Evans.
“‘The Raid 3’ would begin with Rama coming out of that building after having killed everybody and saying ‘No, I’m done’. He walks away to [police officer] Bunawar, who’ll be waiting for him in his car, he gets in and drives away. And you stay with the Japanese gang, who are like, ‘What the fuck do we do now? Everyone’s dead, we’ve got no-one to kill.’ They get into their car, and as they’re driving along all of a sudden this other car rocks up alongside them and just blitzes them, and the cars crash. Goto, his son, and his right-hand man are the only remaining survivors from that attack, and it cuts to credits and says ‘The Raid 3.’” (1)
Another project was taken by Evans i.e. “Blister” after the “Raid 2” now even the 3rd movie of Raid is not happening but he can proudly count 2 action movies under his belt.
