Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers of Younger are Expecting Their First Baby After Fertility Struggles; Special Due Date Revealed

Their baby rainbow! After years of fertility issues, Younger alum Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers are expecting their first child. Meyers captioned a shot from the couple’s pregnancy photograph with “Rainbow baby arriving 3.9.23” on their Instagram Story on Thursday, August 25. “LITERALLY OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.”
The fitness teacher also posted a selfie of themselves and Tortorella, 34, in front of a mirror on their Instagram Stories, displaying their baby bulge. Meyers wore a silver workout jumpsuit under a flowing yellow coverup that displayed their pregnancy.
The Missouri native added “No strategic boxes” over the photo, alluding to their prior attempts to conceal their pregnancy on Instagram.
In Meyers‘ Instagram grid picture, which they uploaded on Wednesday, they included a lengthy comment describing their and Tortorella’s elation, as well as expressing sympathy for any followers who may be experiencing fertility troubles.
“There is so much to say about this improbable tale of how we ultimately conceived, but today I just want to revel in the joy of sharing our good news with everyone. “Our child is in my uterus,” they revealed.
“For those of you who are still in the process of becoming parents, I realize this news may be painful. I am aware that some of you may have just endured another unsuccessful cycle, discovered that your pregnancy was not viable, or experienced some other hiccup in this wild game they call trying to conceive,” Meyers continued, noting how difficult it can be for people with fertility issues to see pregnancy announcements. Permission to mute me, step away or experience all of these emotions. I have also been there.”
They also brought hope to those through the trials of trying to conceive. “About a year ago, a fellow infertility warrior who eventually had a rainbow kid told me, ‘it stinks until one day it doesn’t,’ and they were correct,” the author said. “Sending love to every single one of you. More on our tale will follow.”
Tortorella, who tied the knot with Meyers in 2018 after 12 years of dating, posted the identical set of prenatal photographs to their own Instagram grid with the caption, “The baby. I love you, coming 3.9 @bethanycmeyers.”
The post of the Scream 4 actor was quickly received with accolades from his peers. Their Younger co-star Hilary Duff exclaimed, “Baby on the way!!!” “HI BABY! Congrats! Love u,” Snooki wrote.
Tortorella told Us Weekly exclusively in June 2021 that they and Meyers desired children.
“I’m incredibly good with infants! “We’ve been discussing having children for years,” they told Us at the time. “I believe that our children will select when the time is appropriate. It will not be us who ultimately make this decision.”
In November of that year, the couple released their “Baby-Making Song” on social media, echoing this attitude.
“We’re trying to conceive. It is tougher than anticipated. In all our years of schooling, the books had us fooled,” the duo sang, concluding the upbeat tune with a tone of optimism. Therefore, do not worry. Your infant is in no hurry. You’ll see when the time is ripe for it to occur. Put a child in my womb.”
