My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Cast
Haart’s eldest daughter, social media influencer Batsheva; Haart’s eldest son, Shlomo, who we last saw dating and preparing to go to law school; Haart’s youngest daughter, Miriam, who is studying software engineering at Stanford; and Haart’s youngest son, Aron, who still lives part-time in the ultra-Orthodox community Haart left behind, according to Netflix’s press release.
Robert Brotherton, the COO of Elite World Group and Haart’s right-hand guy, will almost certainly return in Season 2.
However, it’s still uncertain whether Batsheva’s husband, Ben Weinstein, will appear in the upcoming season. Season 1 focused on their relationship, demonstrating how far they’ve come since Haart left the town where they met and married. Weinstein and Batsheva announced their separation in November 2021.

The entrepreneur explained the show’s premise on the Ellen DeGeneres Show shortly after the renewal news was announced, saying, “You know, it took me eight years to tell my tale.” “I thought, ‘Here’s a tale of a crazy woman who pulled herself up at 43 and transformed everything about her life,’ because there are so many women who have been told they’re not worthy, that they have to wait their time, that they have to be polite.’ I hope it inspires and motivates others to follow in my footsteps.”
In July 2021, the first season’s nine episodes were released on the streaming platform. While Julia balanced her profession and parental responsibilities, each of her children searched for their own sense of self as they moved away from home and settled into new lives in Manhattan. (Julia’s youngest son, Aron, spends time at both his mother’s and day’s houses.)
“I think my mother’s reason for sharing her journey is to show people who are unhappy or struggling in any religion or society where they feel there are extreme rules that you can still live a very satisfied and accomplished life without sticking to all those rules,” Batsheva previously revealed during an August 2021 interview with NPR about filming the docuseries.
“I believe that’s part of what appeals to me about the show: it’s not just about extreme Judaism; it’s about any faith or community where women are treated as second-class citizens or are expected to have children.” That is, after all, what makes it so relatable.”
My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Plot
After it aired, the show was panned for its portrayal of Orthodox Jewish life. Season 2 might handle all of this. After the first season of My Unorthodox Life aired, a number of Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox women spoke out against Haart’s notion that women in these groups are repressed and only exist as spouses and mothers.
Haart “agreed to address the discussion over her show in an in-person interview if it could be filmed as part of her broadcast,” according to a New York Times piece about the incident. The Times, on the other hand, declined the deal, and Haart and the paper were unable to “settle on an alternative.”
Haart has highlighted the problem in a number of interviews since the show’s premiere, so it’s still feasible that the matter will be addressed in season 2.
“My issue is that no male, no country, no philosophy, and no religion should tell women who they are meant to be and what they are supposed to be doing, otherwise they are sinners and terrible,” she told ELLE.com when asked how she navigates these debates during a time of rising anti-Semitism. This isn’t a discussion about God. This has nothing to do with Judaism. Fundamentalism is the only thing that matters.”
My Unorthodox Life Season 2 Release Date
Haart appeared on The Ellen Show in September to announce that My Unorthodox Life had been officially renewed for a second season. Season 2 will “include more fashion, family, female empowerment, spirituality, fabulousness, and, of course, Haart,” according to a press statement from Netflix.
No release date has been set, but given that the first season was released this past summer, the second season could arrive in summer, September 2022.
