Ms. Marvel Season 2 Release Date: The Upcoming film “The Marvels” will influence Season 2 Plot
The upcoming film "The Marvels" will have an huge impact on how season 2 unfolds.
You have come to the right place to find Ms. Marvel Season 2 release date. The last episode is airing today and you are left wondering when will the next season crop up.
Based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, Bisha K. Ali developed the American television miniseries Ms. Marvel for the Disney+ streaming platform. It is the seventh TV show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), created by Marvel Studios, and it follows the same timeline as the franchise’s movies.
It centers on Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Avengers fan who initially finds it difficult to fit in until developing her own abilities. The directing team is led by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, with Ali serving as head writer. Positive reviews of the series were given, especially to Vellani’s acting.
Ms. Marvel Season 2 Release Date
According to menshealth, Ms. Marvel Season 2 Release Date had yet not been announced. The last episode is airing today on 13 July. Marvel Studios is yet to announce any information on whether a second season is in development at all. As for now all the focus of the Marvel Studio is on “The Marvels” releasing next year where Iman Vellani will reprise her role as Kamala Khan alongside Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau.
I assume that if the second season is announced it will premiere well after “The Marvels” in Summer 2024.
Ms. Marvel Season 2 Cast
The cast of Ms. Marvel Season 2 has not been announced. However, lead cast members are set to return. I will list them in bullet points below:
- Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan: She is a 16-year-old high school student who is of Pakistani-American descent who enjoys video games greatly and writes superhero fan fiction about characters like Captain Marvel. From a mystical bangle, Khan learns how to channel cosmic energy and build structures made of hard light. Khan, according to executive producer Sana Amanat, offered “bright and eager eyes” and a “grounded viewpoint” to the MCU. Khan appreciates the simplicity of a life free from worries about high school, boys and relationships, family strife, culture, and religion, according to Vellani.

- Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan: She is Yusuf’s wife and the mother of Kamala. She is tougher with Kamala than Yusuf, and according to Shroff, this is because she is aware of the potential in Kamala while also trying to “protect her from all that bad teenage stuff.”
- Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan: He is Muneeba’s husband and Kamala’s father. Yusuf was characterized by Kapur as “a kind, caring, sympathetic man” who understood Kamala and her goals better than Muneeba did.
- Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan: He is Kamala’s older brother. Shaikh described Aamir as “kind of aloof and is not as funny as he thinks he is”, who is very religious and serves as a middleman between Kamala and their parents.
- Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli: He is Kamala’s best friend who has a crush on her. Lintz called Carrelli “very loyal” to Kamala, more so after she gets her powers, as it creates a new dynamic between them.
- Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir: She is a close friend of Kamala’s and is vying for a spot on the mosque board. Bahadir was described by Fletcher as “strong” and “sort of a badass,” who is secure in who she is and speaks her mind. She is also “opinionated and is willing to fight for anything that she believes in,” and her character “breaks a lot of the clichés for hijab girls,” according to Fletcher. Bahadir was “a sensitive adolescent kid, figuring things out like everyone else” while yet having the “capacity to transmit confidence” when necessary. Unlike Fletcher, who is Turkish American in the comics, Bahadir is Lebanese American and mixed ethnicity in Ms. Marvel.
- Samina Ahmad as Sana: She is Kamala’s grandmother who lives in Karachi, Pakistan. Zion Usman portrays a young Sana.
- Fawad Khan as Hasan: She is Kamala’s great-grandfather who is kind-hearted and loveable. Khan rocks as the soft-spoken Hasan.

- Farhan Akhtar as Waleed: He is the leader of the Red Daggers, a group of vigilantes who wear red bandanas and wield throwing knives to protect the innocent.
- Aramis Knight as Kareem / Red Dagger: He is a member of the Red Daggers. Knight trained with a dialect coach so he could speak Urdu and have a Pakistani accent to “appear like a kid from Karachi” and was “really happy to represent the culture”.
Ms. Marvel Season 2 Trailer
As of now, there is no trailer for Ms. Marvel Season 2. The Studio is busy with feature and film production and one can expect the trailer for the second season a long way off. Ms. Marvel connection to “The Marvels”
Feige said that after introducing Ms. Marvel in the series, the character would transition to the MCU films, and he reaffirmed this in November 2019. Feige made this statement during the series’ official launch at D23. Vellani will appear in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels, in December 2020. Earlier, Captain Marvel star Brie Larson had shown interest in including Ms. Marvel in that movie’s follow-up. Feige said that Ms. Marvel would launch The Marvels in February 2021.
Ali had a lot of creative flexibility when creating the series because The Marvels had not yet been fully conceived when she began working on it, but she was aware that there needed to be a “maturity” during the series’ arc so Khan would “be ready” for the events of The Marvels. Shaikh, Shroff, and Kapur also return in their respective capacities as the Khan family members from The Marvels.
