Morbius 2 Release Date: When Can We Expect Morbius 2 to Come Out?

When Morbius came out, it bombed at the box office, and even a second showing didn't help. In a talk with Rolling Stone, Matt Smith said “At the end of the day, it's just a movie, and we're not saving lives. It didn't quite work out for some reason, and What it is, is.” But everything works out in the end. The movie is now the second most watched on Netflix, and it's very possible that there will be a sequel. Keep reading to find out all the juicy details about the movie.

Morbius 2 Release Date

As was said above, Morbius 2 hasn't been confirmed yet, so there isn't a set date for when it will come out. Sony has a lot of Marvel projects coming up in the next two years, starting with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on June 2, 2023. It's hard to see where the sequel can fit in at the moment.

Kraven the Hunter, another Spider-Man spin-off, will come out on October 6, 2023. El Muerto will come out on January 12, 2024, and Madame Web will come out on February 16, 2024. Also, Venom 3 is coming, but we don't know when.

Even if it is confirmed, we probably won't see Morbius 2 until at least 2024, even if it is confirmed. We'll let you know if we find out anything else.

Who Will Be in the Cast of Morbius 2?

Since Morbius 2 hasn't been officially announced, there haven't been any official casting announcements. But we are sure that Jared Leto will play the part of Dr. Michael Morbius again.

Adria Arjona, who plays Martine Bancroft, a human who has been turned into a vampire, will probably be with him (more on that in a bit). But Dr. Nicholas (Jared Harris) and Milo (Matt Smith) won't be back because they were both really killed in Morbius.

Simon Stroud, played by Tyrese Gibson, is a well-known enemy of Morbius in the comics. Al Madrigal, who plays Stroud's FBI partner Alberto Rodriguez, is also likely to return. Gibson said that Stroud has a deal for three movies, so he could be in more movies.

Adrian Toomes, played by Michael Keaton, had a cameo in the Morbius credit scenes, so he will be in the sequel even if he doesn't return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Toomes suggests that he and Morbius work together to help the Sinister Six.

“There are people at Sony who will give me a chance because then I will force them to commit to something,” he joked to IGN. “I have my own ideas and thoughts, and they are in the movie. That's what I want.”

What Will Happen in Morbius 2?

Martine Bancroft's “death” and Vulture's hint at the Sinister Six are two plots that the show can build on. Milo takes Martine hostage so that Morbius will fight against him. Just before Morbius arrives, Milo kills Martine so that Morbius will find her dead.

Then, in the end, Morbius beats Milo and kills him with the antibody he made. The scene then changes to where Martine's body is, and we see her eyes open. Fans of comic books might know that Martine is now a vampire. But it's not clear what kind of vampire Martine has become. The comic book is the basis for the movie, which has a lot of potentials. But we still don't know if Sony will give this guess a fair chance.
