What to Expect From the Season 3 of The Mayor of Kingstown?

If the show is picked up for a third season, it will definitely go further than the second season. The second season follows the McLusky family, who are powerful people in Kingstown, Michigan, where the only business that is doing well is the business of putting people in jail. The series shows how they try to bring order and justice to a town that doesn’t have either.

It looks at systemic racism, corruption, and inequality. In an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian, series co-creator and star Hugh Dillon talked about the show’s future. He hinted that they’re already planning what will happen after season two… Partly because he and Taylor Sheridan have been thinking about it for years.

“As I said, it took Taylor and me 10 years to build”. We were two guys, and we were like, “Then what?” So, as he helps me try out for roles and does his own thing, we are always building this. So we had 10 years to build it before it happened. So, yes, we have big plans for Mayor’s future.”

Dillon told Deadline that he and Sheridan have ideas for “many seasons” of Mayor of Kingstown and that they would be ready to start making new episodes later this year if the show is renewed, even though it hasn’t been officially renewed yet. “Taylor and I have many different ideas for different seasons. If everything went as planned with Paramount+ and the rest of it, I think we’d start in August or September, or maybe in the summer for pre-production.”

Since the sad snowplough accident that sent Mayor of Kingstown actor Jeremy Renner to the hospital, he has been in the news. Dillon also told us about the state of his star, telling us that his star had sent him a message telling him that everything will be okay. “It was the biggest relief. It was such a rollercoaster because when I heard the news, I wanted to fly out and find him and see him,” Dillon told us.

“The next day, he sent me a video. It was so funny and rude that it was the biggest relief of my life. I thought, Okay, he’s going to come back. He is really funny. I feel like he’s my brother. We’ve been working on this show for two years, you know. I made this show with Taylor Sheridan, and Renner just can’t be stopped. He has a lot of talent, and everyone on the crew loves him. The actors all like him.

I love him, and when he said it, my whole world stopped. I just want him to get better and then get the video and, well, just curse, curse, curse. It made me laugh and cry at the same time, and I’m just glad that he’s okay and on the way to getting better.
