A spinoff of the major motion picture Love, Simon, Love, Victor set out to be a coming-of-age LGBTQIA+ series about teens embracing their authentic selves. Season 3 will see that story — and its characters — come full circle, but the show almost never happened at all.
Love, Victor was originally scheduled to air on Disney+ but was canceled after receiving a 14+ rating and “evolving” into something else.
“When we sold the show to Disney+, we sold it straight to series,” executive producer Issac Aptaker told Digital Spy in February 2021. “It was before the platform had even launched.” They didn’t have any original programming yet. While we were figuring out what the show was, Disney+ was figuring out who they were and who they were for.”

Love Victor season 3 will premiere in the United Kingdom on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, at 8 a.m. GMT according to Collider. The series will premiere on Disney Plus in the UK on the same day that it will premiere on Hulu in the US.
The season will consist of eight episodes, as opposed to the previous two seasons’ ten episodes each. All of the episodes will be released on the same day.
