Will Ayelet Zurer Return in Season 2?
The Israeli actress, 51, was asked by Decider if she would return if Losing Alice was brought back for a second season. She said:
“I’ll do anything to work with Sigal again. I had so much fun. We became such close friends, and it would be amazing. I don’t know if this could turn into another thing because I feel like it’s a closed story. So I don’t know what she’s planning, and I’m sure she’s thinking about it. We didn’t talk about that, but definitely yes, I love her. I enjoyed working with her. She really impressed me. It was great working with the other actors. It was one of the highlights of my career, so there’s no way I’m not saying yes the next time she turns to me.”
What Will Be the Storyline of Season 2?
Every mystery was resolved by the end of the previous season. All of the questions we had about this season are answered, and the explanation is quite satisfactory. The events of Season 2 could pick up where Season 1 left off or take an unexpected turn.
Consequently, this season will continue to address the same concerns raised in the previous season.
The series follows Alice, a filmmaker who is 48 years old but no longer full of life. She is exhausted from raising her three girls alongside David and from feeling stuck in her profession and family life. Her actor hubby is her pride and joy. She meets Sophie, a twentysomething aspiring enchantress and playwright, on the train. Sophie hopes that Alice would direct the entire script she’s written because she is a huge fan of Alice.
Alice is so moved by Sophie’s brilliance and poise that she adopts her as a role model in all facets of her life, including the intimate ones. At first, everything appears to be proceeding normally, but later on, things are not what they appear to be. Alice’s tranquil existence is suddenly thrown into chaos.
Sophie’s gloomy and pessimistic side becomes immediately apparent to Alice. As the narrative progresses, though, unexpected developments emerge. It’s unclear at this point who exactly is pulling who in her life, who is in pain, who is on the verge of destruction, and who is the badass in all of this.
At the conclusion of season 1, all questions had been answered. With Alice, who was wrecking her life without realising it, I was there the whole time. It was a terrible fate for everyone around her. For the sake of becoming a director, she risked everything.
David invited her back, but she is aware that things will be different at home. But when Sophie comes out of her coma and Alice finds out what really happened. Nothing from the previous one remains unanswered or needs to be added. But we wish nothing but happiness for Alice and David in their future together.
