Loki Season 2 Release Date: When Can We See It on Disney+?

Fans of Loki should get ready for the trickster to come back. The second season of the sci-fi drama is now being filmed, and we now have a new trailer to prove it.

The footage, which was shown at D23, supposedly showed Loki being ripped through time and then returning to the run-down TVA offices, where he hits a wall with a staff, which opens to show a statue of Kang the Conqueror, a famous time-travelling enemy.

Later, Sylvie shows up with a group of Loki variants in what looks like a London record store. Director Kate Herron may have decided to leave Marvel after Loki’s first season, but she has said she’s “excited” to see where the show goes next.

Read on to find out more about Loki season 2, such as when it will be available on Disney Plus, who will be in it, and where the story could go next.

When Loki Season 2 Will Come Out?

The second season of Loki will be available to stream on Disney Plus in the summer of 2023. The news came out at San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel Phases 4, 5, and even 6 were all announced at the same time.

In June 2022, the second season of the show was filmed at Pinewood Studios in the UK. Tom Hiddleston was seen on set in London wearing a black tie and looking cool. To be honest, though, we have no proof that he isn’t just playing around with his clothes.

What Could Happen in Loki Season 2?

We don’t know what will happen in season 2 of Loki. But it’s not our fault. With all the time travel and multiverse shenanigans, anything can happen in this Marvel series. Loki will probably start Season 2 by trying to tell the new versions of Mobius and Hunter B-12 that Kang is messing with the past.

Hopefully, most of the story will be about Loki trying to stop Kang’s new version of the TVA, maybe in a way similar to how Sylvie did it in season 1.

When Polygon asked writer Michael Waldron about the future of the series, he said, “I think you’re going to see a Loki who looks at himself in a different way, at least at the top of this.” It looks like Loki will finally get the heroic side that the main version of the character had before Thanos broke his neck.

So people do have those ideas. But when asked if he wanted to see Sylvie’s version of Thor, the writer said in a cryptic way, “Tune in.”
