So you binge-watched Netflix's new legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer over the weekend? What do you do for a living? What are you going to do? You can always watch the original film starring Matthew McConaughey (which is presently available on HBO Max) or any of the many shows comparable to The Lincoln Lawyer currently on television. Prime Video is now offering Bosch, Bosch: Legacy, Reacher, Goliath, and Jack Ryan, so it's your best bet.
What do we know about The Lincoln Lawyer's second season? Considering that the show premiered just a few days ago, we have very little information. We're hoping for a second season of The Lincoln Lawyer (more on that below).
When can we expect to see the second season of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix? So far, this is all we have to go on.
Who Plays Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix?
Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Christopher Gorham also star in the show, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.
The Lincoln Lawyer Has Been Renewed for Season 2 by Netflix
Nope. Even if this is quite typical, you don't have to worry about it. The first episode of the first season aired last week on Netflix (May 13, 2022).
Does the Lincoln Lawyer Have a Second Season in the Works?
We expect Netflix will extend The Lincoln Lawyer for a second season, despite the lack of legal information. In addition to receiving high marks from reviewers, the show currently holds the top spot on Netflix's list of the ten most popular shows. Given that the first season is based on The Brass Verdict, the second of Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer novels, subsequent seasons will most likely draw from the series' other five installments.
Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix is likely to launch around the middle to late 2023, assuming the show is renewed for a second season. The final episode of the season feels more like a season finale than a series conclusion. There are several new developments for Mickey, Maggie, Lorna, and Cisco before the season concludes, but I won't reveal much more than that. As additional information becomes available, we'll be sure to update this story.
The Best Places to Watch Lincoln Lawyer on the World Wide Web
The Lincoln Lawyer, starring Matthew McConaughey, is presently available on HBO Max.
Like the Lawyer for Lincoln
After binge-watching The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix over the weekend, you may wonder if the show's lingering storylines will continue in season 2. There are no guarantees, especially when talking about Netflix and its storied history of hit series.
Despite this, the argument for a second season of The Lincoln Lawyer appears to be well established. Why?
Performance That Exceeds Expectations
Even though we don't know how long it will stay at the top, The Lincoln Lawyer dethroned Ozark and appears to be rooted there for at least a week. Netflix is expected to provide “hours viewed” stats for the first week of its release.
Netflix is desperate to see The Lincoln Lawyer take the top spot in more than 50 countries worldwide, given its primary growth markets are outside of the United States. Its popularity extends far beyond the United States. It's possible that the movie's broader popularity is due in part to the casting decision to make Mickey Haller Mexican-American in this incarnation.
A courtroom drama is what this is all about. There are only a few locations where the filming takes place, and there aren't any spectacular computer effects or action sequences. At the very least, this series should be less expensive than many others. On top of that, the cast isn't exactly a who's who of Hollywood's biggest names. Even though Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is a superb actor, he is not Matthew McConaughey from the original film, who would not likely be seeking a large sum of money to appear in the new series. However, I believe that everyone who returns should receive a raise.
The Original Source
Michael Connelly, the creator of the Lincoln Lawyer series, has written six novels. When the original movie adapted the first, this show adapted the second. That means there are many previously unwritten scripts simply begging to be turned into a feature film. Because they're best-selling novels, the tales are already very decent, so the likelihood of terrible future seasons is reduced.
By combining all four of these elements, at least two seasons and possibly a longer-term adaptation of the entire series are possible. The Lincoln Lawyer, on the other hand, feels like a show that Netflix is likely to keep running for at least another year, if not longer. An announcement will be made soon.
What Is Season 2 Going to Be About?
We have no way of knowing for sure. Even so, we do have a few educated estimates. Michael Connelly wrote the books that became the basis for the show. Season one of the Netflix series was based on the second book in the series, “The Brass Verdict,” which is currently in print. Netflix doesn't appear to be following the order of the book series, but we may expect the next case to be drawn from one of the Connelly novels. Based on the series' first season's conclusion, it is safe to assume that future seasons will delve deeper into unanswered questions, such as: “Who the heck is that tattooed dude?”
When Will Season 2 Be Released?
Unfortunately, we can't say for sure about these two. However, given Netflix's history of releasing previous seasons and the time it takes to shoot and produce a new season, the earliest we can expect a release date is 2023.
